Royals' Hunter Harvey: Progressing in recovery
Harvey (shoulder) played catch Wednesday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Harvey landed on the 15-day injured list April 11 due to a right teres major strain. He's progressed enough in his recovery to start a throwing program, and he'll continue to ramp up his activity over the coming weeks. Harvey tossed 5.1 scoreless innings across six outings prior to going on the IL, allowing one hit and striking out seven batters without issuing a walk over that span.

Royals' Hunter Harvey: Set for re-evaluation
Harvey (shoulder) will be re-evaluated Tuesday with the hope of getting cleared to begin throwing, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Harvey was diagnosed with a Grade 1 right teres major strain April 11 after he felt it the day prior while warming up. The injury isn't believed to be a serious concern, but the right-hander will likely need a bit of time to build his arm back up even if he restarts his throwing program next week.

Royals' Hunter Harvey: Injury considered mild

Harvey felt it while warming up Thursday, but the injury is considered minor at the moment. Harvey was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday, and with one of the Royals' top setup men sidelined, John Schreiber could move up a rung on the ladder to help Lucas Erceg and closer Carlos Estevez at the back end of the Kansas City bullpen.

Royals' Hunter Harvey: Healthy after back injury
Harvey threw a scoreless inning in his spring debut Tuesday and says he's fully healthy after a back injury prevented him from pitching in the postseason, the Kansas City Star reports. "Last year was tough," Harvey said. "It didn't feel good to rotate, which is kind of the main thing we need to be able to do. We just couldn't get it to ever calm down."
Harvey met with specialists is in the offseason and the back issue was determined just to be tightness. He delayed his normal offseason throwing program by a month to aid his recovery and appears to be back to regular strength. Harvey will be a key setup man ahead of Lucas Erceg and Carlos Estevez this season, assuming he can stay healthy.
