Polanco went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk in a loss to the Angels on Wednesday.
Polanco was productive on yet another night of anemic play by the Mariners offense as a whole, snapping a brief 0-for-8 skid that had encompassed the previous two games. Polanco has now hit safely in five of the last seven contests overall, and the .231 average he's mustered in that span actually represents significant improvement over his body of work for the majority of the season.

Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Pops homer Sunday
Polanco went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Astros.
Polanco got going with a 394-foot solo blast to right center off Ronel Blanco in the fourth inning, extending the Mariners' lead to 3-1. He later singled in the sixth and came around to score on a three-run homer by Luke Raley. Polanco's home run was his first since May 3 and his sixth on the year. He has three multi-hit games since July 9 after having after having just two such games entering the month. It's been a struggle overall for the 30-year-old, as he's slashing .205/.291/.304 with 19 RBI, 20 runs and a 24:79 BB:K in 251 plate appearances.

Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Two hits Thursday
Polanco went 2-for-4 with a two-run single and a run in a win over the Angels on Thursday.
Polanco got in on the fun during the Mariners' 11-run outburst by extending Seattle's lead to 4-0 with his first-inning, two-run single. The veteran finally coaxed his average back over .200 for the first time since April 15 with Thursday's multi-hit effort, his second in the last three games and only his fourth overall this season.

Mariners' Jorge Polanco: On base three times in win
Polanco went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run in a win over the Padres on Tuesday.
It was a rare multi-hit effort for the struggling veteran, who'd last accomplished that feat May 4. Polanco had been mired in a 1-for-12 skid over the previous four games entering Tuesday, a brief but nightmarish stretch where he'd struck out in eight of his 14 plate appearances. Polanco's season slash line still stands at a career-worst .196/.288/.289, and with the sample size now having grown to 219 plate appearances, it's fair to wonder how much improvement it will realistically see over the remainder of the season.
