    Let's take a look at betting against the Reds today, who are second-to-last in batting average for the month and dead last in RBIs for the month. The Mets come off winning a series against the Braves, winning three of their past four and 10 of their last 16. The Reds have lost their past five series, including over the weekend to the sluggish Diamondbacks, where they only scored seven runs in the three-game series. Right-hander Chase Burns has been solid for the Reds, going 7-1 with a 2.14 ERA, but the Mets can take advantage when he leaves the game, in an expected low-scoring game. The Mets at plus money is the play.

    Analysis

    The Reds are the third-best over team in baseball at 42-27-1, going 60.9% over. But most of that lately is because of the other team scoring, as the Reds have only 34 RBIs for the month, which is the lowest in baseball. Rookie right-hander Chase Burns is pitching tonight, and it should be a low-scoring game by the Mets. I'm looking at a 4-2 score with the game to be decided when Burns leaves the game. Under is the play.

    Analysis

    Over the weekend, the Royals lost one of their better hitters in Vinnie Barbarino ... err Pasquantino for 4-6 weeks. They can't hit much as is and are 3-15 vs. southpaws. K.C. is also 10 games under .500 away and goes with Mitch Spence on the mound -- Spence is 11-16 with a 4.91 ERA in his three seasons in the Show and was only just called back up. It's lefty Andrew Alvarez (3.70 ERA) for the Nats -- although he might not be out there more 4-5 innings as essentially an extended opener. Washington has won two straight and six of nine overall. Might be the first time have played it all season as a ML favorite. Might be the last if don't win.

    Starling Marte gets the start today for the Kansas City Royals. All three starts in the month of June he has cleared his combination line. Additionally, he has a strong history when it comes to facing the Nationals, being with the Mets the prior four seasons. In 17 out of his last 19 games against Washington he has had at least one hit, this includes one of his nine home runs last season. Take Marte’s combination line over.

    Caesar’s. Drink the juice - Zack Wheeler has cleared this line in eight of nine starts this season, with the lone exception being his first start when his pitches were capped. He’s pitched at his typical Cy Young caliber level: 2.22 ERA, while holding opponents to a .221 xBA and only yielding a 5.6 walk rate. He’ll face the Marlins, who not only see the sixth fewest pitches per plate appearance as a team (3.81), but also have only mustered a .715 OPS over the last month against righties. Yes, it’s pricey, but this one is even worth a half unit at over 18.5 outs at +115 or better, as I have him projected at 20 outs today.
