  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Logs win Saturday

Rogers (3-2) picked up the win in Saturday's 3-2 victory over Atlanta, issuing one walk in a scoreless ninth inning. The right-hander entered the game with the Giants facing a 2-1 deficit and threw eight of his 12 pitches for strikes. Matt Chapman followed with a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the inning, giving Rogers his first win since April 24. The veteran reliever now owns a 1.48 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and a 28:4 K:BB across 30.1 innings in 32 appearances this season.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Takes loss Monday

Rogers (2-2) took the loss in Monday's 3-1 defeat to the Royals, allowing two earned runs on two hits (one home run) over one inning. The right-hander entered a scoreless game in the eighth inning, surrendering a double and a two-run homer. Rogers threw 15 of his 20 pitches for strikes but saw his scoreless streak end at five appearances. He now owns a 2.01 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and an 18:3 K:BB with nine holds and a blown save across 22.1 innings in 23 appearances.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Logs first loss of 2025

Rogers (2-1) took the loss and picked up a blown save in Thursday's 4-3 defeat to the Rockies. He allowed two earned runs on three hits across one inning. Rogers entered the game in the eighth inning and was tasked with protecting a 3-2 lead. However, the right-hander surrendered a double and two singles, allowing multiple runs for the first time during the 2025 campaign. The 34-year-old reliever has given up just three runs all season, recording a 1.65 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and a 14:3 K:BB across 16.1 innings in 17 appearances.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Earns second win of 2025

Rogers (2-0) earned the win during Thursday's 6-5 victory over Milwaukee, allowing a hit and striking out three in a scoreless inning. Rogers entered the game in the eighth frame, striking out the first two batters he faced before giving up a single to Garrett Mitchell. However, Rogers kept his composure and struck out the final batter before San Francisco's offense scored two runs. The veteran reliever was efficient in the win, throwing 13 of his 16 pitches for strikes. The right-hander has been impressive over 14 appearances, recording a 0.68 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and a 13:2 K:BB with seven holds across 13.1 innings.

Rogers picked up a hold in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Angels, pitching a perfect inning and striking out one. Rogers entered the game in the eighth frame and retired the side, throwing eight of his 12 pitches for strikes. The veteran right-hander hasn't allowed a hit in his last three appearances, and he's been charged with only one earned run this season. Over 11 appearances in the 2025 campaign, Rogers has recorded a 0.87 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and a 9:2 K:BB with six holds across 10.1 innings.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Logs scoreless inning Wednesday

Rogers struck out the side in a scoreless inning during Wednesday's 8-6 extra-inning win over the Reds. Rogers entered the game in the eighth frame, throwing nine of his 12 pitches for strikes during an extremely efficient inning. The right-handed reliever has yet to allow a run in seven appearances and has surrendered just one hit over his last four trips to the mound. Rogers owns a 0.00 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and a 6:2 K:BB, along with a win and four holds, over seven innings so far this season.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Avoids arbitration

The Giants and Rogers avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.25 million contract Thursday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Rogers had been arbitration-eligible for a final time this offseason. The side-arming reliever has been one of baseball's busiest bullpen arms over the last several seasons, most recently holding a 2.82 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 51:6 K:BB over 70.1 innings in 2024.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Picks up third win

Rogers (3-4) pitched a perfect inning to earn the win Friday over the Marlins. Rogers got three groundouts in the top of the eighth inning, and Matt Chapman's three-run double gave the Giants a lead in the bottom of the frame. Aside from a disastrous outing Aug. 23 versus the Mariners, Rogers has been sharp this month -- he hasn't allowed a run in any of his other August appearances. For the season, he has a 3.06 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 45:4 K:BB over 61.2 innings while adding a save and 29 holds. Rogers also leads the majors in appearances with 68, matching his total from each of the last two years, though he's more frequently been asked to get less than three outs in 2024.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Snags second win

Rogers (2-4) struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the win Friday over the Tigers. The Giants' bullpen is in flux following the team's shock decision Friday to option Camilo Doval to the minors. Rogers wasn't asked to handle a save situation Friday, but he pitched the ninth inning in a tied game, which is another common situation for closers to handle. That may have been a product of Ryan Walker pitching on four of the previous five days, as it's likely to be Walker who sees the bulk of the ninth-inning duties while Rogers -- who has often struggled in save situations in his career -- remains in a setup role. For the season, Rogers has a 3.04 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 38:3 K:BB with 25 holds and one save in two chances. Jordan Hicks and Taylor Rogers are also in the high-leverage mix, and the former's prior closing experience could make him a dark-horse candidate for saves.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Melts down Friday

Rogers (1-3) allowed three runs on three hits over one-third of an inning to take the loss Friday versus the Rockies. Rogers couldn't keep the game tied at 3-3 in the eighth inning, giving up a three-run home run to Jake Cave that proved to be decisive. Prior to Friday, Rogers had allowed just one run over his last 10.2 innings. He's now at a 3.15 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 34:3 K:BB with a save and 19 holds across 45.2 innings this season. Rogers has generally been reliable in a setup role and does not appear to be in danger of losing that spot in the bullpen hierarchy.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Awarded win Tuesday

Rogers (1-2) pitched a perfect inning and was awarded the win Tuesday over the Cubs. The Giants led from the second inning on during the bullpen game. Rogers was the first reliever to post a clean outing, and the official scorer handed him his first win of the campaign. Aside from a June 18 three-run meltdown versus these same Cubs in Chicago, Rogers has had a good month. He's kept runs off the board in his other 10 appearances while adding four holds in a setup role. For the season, he's at a 2.92 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 27:2 K:BB with a save, 12 holds and a blown save across 37 innings.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Blows save, suffers first loss

Rogers (0-1) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits, a walk and a hit-by-pitch while only recording one out against the Mets. Rogers was filling in for a resting Camilo Doval, who had pitched the previous two games of the series. It was the second time in four days Rogers was called upon to fill in for the Giants' regular closer, but Sunday's outing was not nearly as successful as Thursday's, blowing the save and allowing the Mets to walk it off after entering the ninth with a two-run lead. Rogers' ERA ballooned by over a run, from 2.19 entering the game to 3.24 following the outing.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Grabs save Thursday

Rogers earned the save in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Pirates, working around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning. Rogers was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the ninth, with Camilo Doval having pitched three times in the last four days. The Pirates would get a couple of baserunners via an error and a Bryan Reynolds single, but Rogers would ultimately escape unscathed, securing his first save this season. The 33-year-old sidearmer has put together solid start to the campaign -- his ERA is down to 2.19 with a 0.97 WHIP and 16:0 K:BB across 24.2 innings. While Doval is firmly established as the closer in San Francisco, Rogers is the clear No. 2 option.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Picks up 30th hold

Rogers pitched a perfect inning to earn his 30th hold of the season in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers. Despite the Giants' volatility overall, Rogers and Camilo Doval have made quite a formidable duo at the back end of the bullpen. The hold was Rogers' 30th of the season, matching his career-high total from 2021. He's allowed five runs (four earned) over 9.2 innings in September and has a 3.04 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 60:19 K:BB over 74 innings this season. He's also collected two saves, six blown saves and a 4-5 record.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Takes fifth loss

Rogers (4-5) allowed two runs on two hits and struck out three without walking a batter over two innings, taking the loss and a blown save Saturday versus Atlanta. Rogers did his job with a scoreless seventh inning, but manager Gabe Kapler sent him back out for the eighth. Eddie Rosario took Rogers deep for a two-run home run that flipped the game around, handing the submariner his fifth blown save of the year, four of which have come in his last 11 appearances. In that span, the right-hander has given up seven runs over 11.2 innings. He's at a 2.73 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB with two saves and 24 holds over 59.1 innings this year, but he's been a bit less reliable than usual over recent weeks.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Secures fourth win

Rogers (4-4) allowed a run on two hits and struck out two without walking a batter over two innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Athletics. Rogers allowed the game-tying run in the top of the eighth inning before the Giants took the lead back a half-inning later. He's been scored on in five of his nine appearances in July, but he's collected two wins and three holds while taking just one blown save over 9.2 innings this month. For the season, the setup man has a 2.29 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 40:14 K:BB through 51 innings while racking up 21 holds and two saves.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Wins suspended game

Rogers (2-4) allowed a walk in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the win in Monday's suspended game versus the Reds. The game resumed Tuesday, and Rogers did his part to keep it tied at 2-2 in the ninth inning before the Giants pulled ahead in the 10th. It's been a shaky July for the right-hander, who has allowed four runs on nine hits and three walks over 7.2 innings this month. Despite the iffy results, he's collected a win, three holds and just one blown save. Rogers is at a 2.25 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 38:13 K:BB through 48 innings this season while adding a National League-leading 21 holds.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Snags first win

Rogers (1-4) pitched a perfect inning and struck out one to earn the extra-inning win over the Cardinals on Wednesday. The Giants were down to their last out at one point, but Mike Yastrzemski hit a two-run home run to tie it in the ninth inning. Rogers kept it tied, and the team rallied again in the 10th. Rogers has strung together 8.1 consecutive scoreless innings, and it's been 12.2 frames since he last gave up an earned run. He's worked as a setup man to great effect with a 1.65 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 25:11 K:BB, 13 holds, two saves and a blown save over 32.2 innings this season. His 3.0 BB/9 and 3.63 FIP are both the worst marks of his career, however, which suggests he could see some regression.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Picks up second save

Rogers picked up the save Friday against the Marlins. He struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings. Rogers has allowed just one run over eight innings pitched this month. In fact, four of the right-hander's six total runs allowed this year came in the same series against the Padres in late April. He's been quite effective against the rest of the league, as evidenced by his 2.31 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. Closer Camilo Doval pitched three of the previous four days and should remain San Francisco's top option for saves.

  • Giants' Tyler Rogers: Slips up in ninth inning

Rogers (0-3) took the loss Sunday versus the Diamondbacks, allowing a run on a hit and a walk over one inning. Rogers pitched a perfect eighth inning to keep the game tied at 1-1. He stayed in for the ninth, walking Christian Walker before Lourdes Gurriel tagged him for a walkoff double. All three of Rogers' losses have come in his last six outings, a span in which he's given up five runs over 5.2 innings. The reliever has a 2.70 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 16:6 K:BB while adding a save and seven holds through 20 innings overall this season.
