Orioles' Anthony Santander: Out of lineup Sunday
Santander is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Seattle, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Santander started the last two games at designated hitter coming off the knee injury suffered Wednesday. The veteran outfielder will get a break Sunday as Baltimore rounds out its series with the Mariners, and it appears to just be a maintenance day since there's been no reports that he aggravated the injury.

Orioles' Anthony Santander: Knee remains bothersome
Santander is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners due to soreness and swelling in his left knee, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
The 29-year-old served as Baltimore's designated hitter the past two days after he suffered a bruised knee Wednesday, and he aggravated the injury while running the bases. Santander said running in the outfield remains a bit of an issue, so he could be limited to DH duties for a few days as he gets back to full strength.

Orioles' Anthony Santander: Starting as designated hitter
Santander (knee) is in the starting lineup as the designated hitter for Friday's matchup against the Mariners.
Santander hurt his knee in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays after first colliding with the outfield wall and then hitting it again during a slide, which led to his exit from the game. The veteran outfielder will be eased back into the lineup at designated hitter while Ryan O'Hearn mans right field.

Santander was removed from Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays due to a bruised knee, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports. He went 2-for-4 with a double.
Santander banged up his knee when he collided with the outfield wall and then aggravated it on a double and a slide in the eighth inning before being lifted in the ninth. The injury doesn't sound like a big concern, and it's possible the Orioles' scheduled off day Thursday will be enough rest for Santander. Consider him day-to-day heading into this weekend's series versus the Mariners.

Santander went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.
Santander's eighth-inning blast was what ultimately forced extra innings Saturday. The outfielder has gone deep three times and driven in seven runs over his last five games. For the season, Santander is sporting a .217/.301/.449 slash line with seven long balls, 25 RBI, 20 runs scored, nine doubles and a triple. He still has yet to attempt a stolen base this season. Santander's production is generally in line with what he did last year, aside from modest dips in his rate stats.

Santander went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.
Santander is hitting just .227 over seven games in May and batting .215 on the year, but he has a homer in two of his last three contests. The outfielder has added a .737 OPS through 35 games this season, though that's still a decent margin behind last year's .797 mark. Santander is up to six homers, 24 RBI, 18 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple and no steals through 147 plate appearances while holding down a starting role in right field.

Orioles' Anthony Santander: Belts grand slam
Santander went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win over Cincinnati.
Santander already had a nice multi-hit performance in the bag before capping his day off with a ninth-inning grand slam in the blowout victory. It was his fifth long ball of the year and first since April 17, snapping a 15-game drought. He posted a .505 OPS over his previous 13 games since his last multi-hit effort April 20. Santander is now slashing .218/.295/.427 with 23 RBI and 15 extra-base hits through 33 appearances.

Orioles' Anthony Santander: Heads to bench Wednesday
Santander is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.
Santander will get a breather after he had started each of Baltimore's last 13 games while posting an .886 OPS. The 29-year-old isn't at any risk of losing hold of an everyday role, but he'll cede his spot in the lineup Wednesday to rookie Heston Kjerstad, who has played sparingly since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on April 23.
