Though the Angels have been thumped in two straight games coming out of the break, Adell has been a bright spot, going 3-for-6 with a pair of thefts and a pair of walks. While he's still hitting just .197 on the campaign, the outfielder has put together a five-game hitting streak during which he's batting an even .500 (7-for-14) with a homer, six RBI and four free passes. Though his batting average has been a drain in fantasy, Adell's provided some useful production with 15 long balls and 12 steals overall.

Angels' Jo Adell: Picks up steal Friday
Adell went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 13-3 loss to the Athletics.
Adell is up to 11 steals on the year, including two over 13 games in July. He's hitting a mild .225 (9-for-40) this month, though that is an improvement on his .192 batting average for the season. The outfielder has added a .657 OPS, 15 home runs, 44 RBI, 36 runs scored, eight doubles and one triple over 294 plate appearances. While no move is imminent, Adell could lose playing time once Mike Trout (knee) is activated from the injured list, which is projected to happen in late July or early August.

Adell came through in the clutch with a three-run homer off Austin Voth in the eighth inning to put the Angels in front 3-2. He heads into the All-Star break with five RBI over his last three games but is still struggling mightily on the whole this year. The 25-year-old is slashing .190/.255/.399 with 15 homers, 43 RBI, 36 runs and a 20:86 BB:K in 290 plate appearances.

The Angels were down 7-1 heading into the ninth frame before mounting a rally that fell just short. Adell brought the team to within one run with his two-out, two-run blast in the inning. The long ball snapped a 15-game homerless drought for the outfielder, and he had struggled mightily during that stretch, slashing .111/.180/.156. Despite the recent cold stretch, Adell has hung onto a near-everyday role, as he's started in right field in six of the Angels' past seven games.
