Rooker uncorked a mammoth 441-foot shot to left field in the first inning shortly after Lawrence Butler led off the game with a double and scored on an error. Rooker has been on a long-ball tear since shortly before the All-Star break, now having left the yard in six of the last nine games. Rooker kicked off the scoring with a first-inning two-run shot to left center and the Athletics never looked back from there. He now has five homers and 13 RBI over his last seven games, and he tied his career high in RBI with Tuesday night's blast.
