  • Blue Jays' Alek Manoah: On track in recovery

Manoah (elbow) is throwing regular bullpen sessions at the Blue Jays' spring training complex in Dunedin, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The right-hander is making his way back from an internal brace procedure performed in June 2024. Manoah's rehab is on schedule, but he's not expected to be an option for the Blue Jays' rotation until after the All-Star break. Over five starts and 24.1 innings last season before being shut down, Manoah posted a 3.70 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 26:8 K:BB.

  • Blue Jays' Alek Manoah: Placed on 60-day IL

The Blue Jays placed Manoah (elbow) on the 60-day injured list Monday, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Richard Lovelady, whose contract was selected Monday. Manoah has begun to throw off a mound but is not expected back from his hybrid internal brace procedure until August.

  • Blue Jays' Alek Manoah: First mound session since surgery

Manoah (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Friday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

It will be the first time the right-hander has thrown off a mound since he underwent a hybrid internal brace procedure on his elbow last June. The plan calls for Manoah to face hitters by June and begin a rehab assignment in July, setting him up to help out the Blue Jays by August if all goes well.

  • Blue Jays' Alek Manoah: Close to throwing off mound

Manoah (elbow) said Monday that he's scheduled to begin throwing off a mound in a couple weeks, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Manoah underwent a hybrid internal brace procedure last June to repair a torn UCL in his right elbow. The right-hander is hopeful to face hitters by June, begin a rehab assignment in July and be available as an option for the Blue Jays in August. In order to meet his goals, Manoah will have to avoid any bumps in the road in his recovery, which isn't always a guarantee coming back from UCL surgery.

  • Blue Jays' Alek Manoah: Reaches deal with Toronto

Manoah (elbow) agreed to a one-year, $2.2 million contract with the Blue Jays on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Following a delayed start to the season, Manoah was able to turn in a 3.70 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 24.1 innings before a sprained UCL ended his campaign early in late May. The 27-year-old underwent a hybrid internal brace procedure to address the issue in June and is targeting August for his return to a big-league mound in 2025.

  • Blue Jays' Alek Manoah: Aiming to return in August

Manoah (elbow) hopes to be ready to pitch for the Blue Jays in August, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.

Manoah underwent a hybrid internal brace procedure to repair the UCL in his right elbow last June. The plan calls for Manoah to throw bullpen sessions in March, face hitters in June and go out on a rehab assignment in July before rejoining the Blue Jays in August. If the righty is able to hit those markers, he could spend most of the final two months of the 2025 campaign in Toronto's rotation.
