What an off day.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill reportedly turned himself in to Texas authorities on Wednesday after being charged with felony assault for a February incident involving a girlfirend on Monday.

TMZ.com reports that Hill was in court in Texas to face the charges and was quickly bonded out.
Hill showed up to court today in Houston to face the felony domestic violence charge -- and the judge set bond at $5,000. Hill was briefly taken into custody before immediately bonding out. The judge set no travel restrictions on his bond -- so the case shouldn't affect his playoff run. But the judge did impose a protective order -- barring Hill from contacting or going anywhere near his ex.
According to reports, Hill allegedly beat, grabbed and choked his girlfriend during an argument back in February, when he was still a member of the Houston Rockets. Hill was acquired by the Lakers from the Houston Rockets in exchange for guard Derek Fisher and a first round pick back in March.

Hill's Lakers won Game 2 of their Western Conference first round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night. Hill finished with 6 points and 10 rebounds on 2-for-5 shooting in 21 minutes. The series shifts to Denver for Game 3 on Friday night. The Lakers are up in the series 2-0.

Hill, 24, is in his third NBA season after being selected as a lottery pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks. He's posted season averages of 5.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 2011-2012 and scored a season-high 14 points and grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds for the Lakers in a late-April win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
