  • 76ers' Caleb Martin: Picked up by Philly

Martin has agreed to terms on a four-year, $32 million contract with the 76ers, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Martin was a core member of the Heat's rotation the past three seasons, averaging 9.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.2 triples across 26.7 minutes per game. He figures to play a similar role in Philadelphia, where he will presumably compete for minutes on the wing with the likes of Eric Gordon, Kelly Oubre and Jared McCain.

  • Caleb Martin: Declines player option with Heat

Martin declined his $7.12 million player option Saturday, and he will become an unrestricted free agent, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Martin revived his career with the Heat after starting with two lackluster years on the Hornets. Over his three-year span with Miami, the 28-year-old averaged 9.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.9 steals across 26.6 minutes. The swingman will likely garner interest from around the league given that he was a key part of Miami's NBA Finals run in the 2022-23 season.

  • Heat's Caleb Martin: Strong from deep in 21-point outing

Martin ended with 21 points (7-12 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one steal over 36 minutes in Wednesday's 111-101 win over Boston in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first round.

Martin had a breakout performance in Wednesday's bounce-back victory, earning his second straight start to begin the series against the Celtics. Martin connected on a handful of threes while ending as one of three Heat players with 20 or more points, a mark he surpassed on four occasions during the regular season. Martin responded well after scoring four points in Game 1, and Miami will look for him to continue to help boost the offense in Game 3 and beyond.

Martin is in the starting five for Tuesday's game versus the Hawks, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.

Martin and Tyler Herro will enter the starting lineup Tuesday since Terry Rozier (neck) and Duncan Robinson (back) are out. Martin has averaged 9.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 27.5 minutes across his previous 10 starts this season.

  • Heat's Caleb Martin: Boosts bench in 20-point showing

Martin contributed 20 points (8-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes during Sunday's 117-115 loss to the Pacers.

Martin was one of two Miami players with 20 or more points off the bench while leading all Heat bench players in shots made to go along with a trio of rebounds and a pair of assists to boost Miami in his sixth game of the year with 36 or more minutes. Martin has surpassed the 20-point mark in four games, and Sunday's performance was his first time since last doing so Dec. 11 against Charlotte. His 20-point outing was the second such performance while coming off the bench for the Heat.

Martin (ankle) is available for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

As expected, Martin has been upgraded from probable to available and will return to action after a one-game absence. Before the ankle injury, Martin scored in double figures in 10 of his last 14 appearances, averaging 10.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals-plus-blocks in 28.5 minutes during that stretch.

Martin (ankle) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.

  • Heat's Caleb Martin: Won't play Sunday

Martin has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Wizards due to right ankle discomfort.

Martin was held to just nine minutes of action in Miami's previous contest and will sit out Sunday due to a right ankle injury. Jaime Jaquez and Haywood Highsmith are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. Martin's next chance to suit up is Tuesday's matchup with the Knicks.
