  • Javin DeLaurier: Acquired by OKC

DeLaurier was acquired by the Oklahoma City Blue on Friday along with a 2022 first-round pick from the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for Rob Edwards and a 2023 second-round pick, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.

DeLaurier appeared in 29 games with the Wisconsin Herd during the 2021-22 season, averaging 6.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest. He'll now head to Oklahoma City ahead of the 2022-23 season and will likely remain in the G League unless he's called up.

The nature of DeLaurier's issue is unclear, and it remains to be seen if he will need to miss more than one game. The 23-year-old is averaging 6.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks over 21.7 minutes for the Herd during the regular season.

DeLaurier led Wisconsin in rebounds in the loss and put up 14 points en route to his second straight double-double. The 6-foot-10 forward/center's scoring is particularly notable, as this is the first time during the G League regular season that he has posted double-digit points in consecutive games. He added a team-best 15 boards to notch his third double-double of the regular season. The Bucks signed DeLaurier to a training-camp contract Monday.

A 6-foot-10, 237-pound power forward, DeLaurier went undrafted out of Duke in 2020 and spent his first professional season in the G League and in Canadian Elite Basketball League.
