Kevon Harris: Contract terminated
The Hawks terminated Harris' 10-day contract Tuesday.
Harris still had a week left on his 10-day deal after signing with the Hawks on Saturday, but the team parted ways with him to clear room on the 15-man roster for center Dominick Barlow, who was upgraded from a two-way deal. The 27-year-old swingman didn't appear in any games during his brief stint with the Hawks and will likely return to the G League's College Park Skyhawks, with whom he had been playing before signing his 10-day deal.

Hawks' Kevon Harris: Receives 10-day deal
Harris agreed Friday with the Hawks on a 10-day contract, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Harris will join the parent club after he had spent the entire 2024-25 season in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks upon getting cut by Atlanta during training camp. Over his 34 appearances for College Park, Harris has averaged 19.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.6 three-pointers and 1.4 steals across 31.0 minutes per contest while shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 44.9 percent from downtown. The 27-year-old wing previously saw NBA action with the Magic over the past two seasons, making 36 appearances in total.

The Magic declined to extend Harris a $1.87 million qualifying offer Friday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.
Harris spent the past two seasons in Orlando after striking a two-year, two-way deal with the Magic in the summer of 2022. He appeared in 34 games with Orlando in 2022-23, but with the club becoming more competitive and reaching the playoffs in 2023-24, Harris was often inactive and saw action in just two contests at the NBA level. Harris was solid at G League level with the Osceola Magic in 2023-24 -- he averaged 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.9 three-pointers and 1.0 steals in 28.8 minutes per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from three-point range over 27 appearances -- but since he already turned 27 years old earlier this month, it's unlikely that another organization will view him as a development piece worthy of a two-way spot during the upcoming season.
