  • Izaiah Brockington: Waived by New Orleans

The Pelicans waived Brockington on Tuesday.

Brockington was previously with the Pelicans on a training camp deal, but he was waived to make room for a new arrival in Adonis Arms. Brockington could still end up playing for their G League affiliate in Birmingham.

  • Pelicans' Izaiah Brockington: Signs training camp deal with Pels

Brockington signed a training camp with the Pelicans on Thursday, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.

Brockington played in one game with the Pelicans last season after spending the year with the Birmingham Squadron of the G League, and he also played for Pels this year in the Summer League. He's a longshot to make the roster, though, and it wouldn't be shocking if he plays in the G League in 2024-25.

  • Pelicans' Izaiah Brockington: Recalled to NBA

  • Pelicans' Izaiah Brockington: Gets 10-day deal

Brockington signed a 10-day contract with New Orleans on Sunday, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.

Brockington will fill the open spot on the Pelicans' 15-man roster after he averaged 13.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 40 games with New Orleans' G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron. New Orleans is currently at full strength with the exception of Dyson Daniels (knee), so Brockington is unlikely to get a look in the rotation over the course of his 10-day deal.

  • Izaiah Brockington: Let go by New Orleans

The Pelicans waived Brockington on Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac reports.

Brockington is among several players that New Orleans waived before Saturday's deadline, and if he goes through waivers unclaimed, then he'd have to report to the franchise's G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron. The Pelicans signed Brockington earlier this week, but he was always considered a long shot to make the Opening Night roster.

  • Pelicans' Izaiah Brockington: Rejoins New Orleans

Brockington signed with the Pelicans on Monday.

The Pelicans waived Brockington from his two-way contract in late September, but he'll rejoin the team with just over a week remaining until the regular season. However, it seems unlikely that he'll make the Pelicans' final roster, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him end up in the G League once the 2023-24 campaign begins.
