Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: To miss one more week
The Hawks announced Tuesday that Risacher (adductor) will be re-evaluated in one week, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Risacher is progressing well in his rehabilitation from an adductor strain, but he'll miss his fourth straight game Wednesday against the Pistons and won't be available to the Hawks until the Jan. 28 matchup with the Rockets at the earliest. Until the 2024 No. 1 overall pick returns to Atlanta's lineup, Vit Krejci should remain in the starting five, and De'Andre Hunter should see extra minutes from the second unit.

The Hawks announced Friday that Risacher (adductor) will remain out for Saturday's game against the Celtics and Monday's game against the Knicks.
The 2024 No. 1 overall pick missed Wednesday's 110-94 loss to the Bulls with left adductor irritation, and the Hawks will opt to hold him out for the remaining two contests of their road trip before updating his status ahead of Wednesday's home game versus the Pistons. Fortunately for Atlanta, De'Andre Hunter (foot) is expected to return from a two-game absence Saturday to bolster the Hawks' depth on the wing, and Vit Krejci could continue to fill in for Risacher in the starting unit as he did Wednesday.

Risacher started again but managed just 16 minutes. After a couple of breakout performances, the rookie has settled into a somewhat steady role. However, he has played fewer than 20 minutes in two straight games, in line with what he was doing to start the season. Now that the team is relatively healthy, it will be interesting to see whether Risacher sticks in the starting lineup or moves back to the bench, making way for De'Andre Hunter.

Risacher couldn't keep the momentum going after his 17-point effort in the loss to the Wizards on Wednesday, and he had a rough shooting performance this time around. It's still early to hit the panic button, but Risacher's efficiency numbers have conspired against his upside thus far, especially since he's expected to remain in the starting unit for the foreseeable future.
