Hornets' Mark Williams: Strong in paint in double-double
Williams accumulated 13 points (5-14 FG, 3-4 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 110-105 victory over the Mavericks.
Williams was a strong presence in the paint for Charlotte in Monday's contest, leading all Hornets in rebounds and blocks while finishing as the lone player with a double-double in a winning effort. Williams has recorded a double-double in six games this season, doing so now in four straight outings.

Hornets' Cody Martin: Balanced outing off bench in win
Martin accumulated 10 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 20 minutes during Monday's 110-105 victory over Dallas.
Martin provided a nice boost off the Hornets bench, finishing second on the team in rebounds and assists while ending as one of six Charlotte players with a double-digit point total. Martin set a new season high in assists, surpassing his previous season high of five dimes, which he has posted four times. He has registered at least 10 points, five rebounds and five assists in two outings, both of which have come off the bench.

Hornets' LaMelo Ball: All-around showing in victory
Ball provided 23 points (8-21 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, nine assists, one block and two steals in 38 minutes during Monday's 110-105 win over the Mavericks.
Ball did a little bit of everything to lift Charlotte to victory Monday, leading all players in assists to go along with a team-high-tying scoring total while finishing second on the team in rebounds in a balanced showcase. Ball has tallied at least 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in six contests this season while posting at least 20 points in nine consecutive outings.

Hornets' Tre Mann: Another absence coming
Mann (back) is out for Sunday's game against the Mavericks.
Mann has been sidelined since Nov. 21 due to disc irritation in his back, and there haven't been any signs of him being anywhere close to returning to action. His next chance to play will come against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Hornets' Tidjane Salaun: Sent to G League
The Hornets assigned Salaun to the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Saturday.
Salaun will likely be in the G League for only a short stint. The rookie forward averages 4.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 16.7 minutes across his last 10 NBA outings.

Hornets' KJ Simpson: Sent to G League
The Hornets transferred Simpson to the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Saturday.
Simpson continues to play in both the NBA and G League as a two-way player. However, the rookie guard should receive increased playing time with the Swarm.

Hornets' Miles Bridges: Turns in 21 points
Bridges ended Friday's 125-123 victory over the Bulls with 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 32 minutes.
Bridges posted his fourth consecutive game with 20-plus points during a wild win against the Bulls. Although Charlotte's season has been a disappointment, Bridges' consistent play has been a bright spot for the team, and Friday's win was a great example of the Hornets' potential when the first unit is dialed in. Brandon Miller's (wrist) injury deprives the team of its second-best scorer, but Bridges will play a key role in filling the production gap.

Hornets' Nick Smith: Posts 15 points as fill-in
Smith supplied 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Friday's 125-123 win over the Bulls.
Smith's playing time is projected to increase following Brandon Miller's (wrist) injury diagnosis. With Miller out indefinitely, the 2023 first-round pick drew the start and flashed the sharpshooting skills that made him a hot commodity coming out of Arkansas. Although the Hornets are floundering in the Eastern Conference, players like LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges and Mark Williams are playing well, which will give Smith some fantasy worthiness if he can hold on to the job.

Hornets' Mark Williams: Logs 19/19 double-double in win
Williams logged 19 points (9-17 FG, 1-2 FT), 19 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 125-123 victory over the Bulls.
Williams is starting to heat up and has taken complete control of Charlotte's frontcourt following Nick Richards' departure. The Duke product amassed a season-high 19 rebounds in the victory and has hit the double-double milestone in five of his last six games.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Out indefinitely with wrist injury
The Hornets announced Friday that Miller has suffered a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist and will be out indefinitely.
Miller sustained the injury in Wednesday's win over the Jazz, and an MRI confirmed that he was dealing with ligament damage. Though the Hornets aren't offering up a timeline for Miller's return, fantasy managers should prepare for him for his absence to last multiple weeks if not months, and potentially the rest of the season if he requires surgery. For whatever length of time Miller is out, Nick Smith, Cody Martin, Josh Green and Seth Curry could all be beneficiaries of more playing time. Miller is averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 three-pointers, 3.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.7 blocks in 34.2 minutes per game over 27 appearances on the season but is shooting just 40.3 percent from the field.

Hornets' Nick Smith: First career start Friday
Smith will start Friday's game against the Bulls.
It'll be the first career start for the former first-rounder Friday, and he'll have a chance to offer a boost in fantasy value. Over his past four games, Smith is averaging 8.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 threes in 18.6 minutes.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Ruled out against Chicago
Miller (wrist) won't play in Friday's game versus the Bulls.
Miller has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday due to a sprained right wrist. Nick Smith, Seth Curry and Cody Martin are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. Miller's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Dallas.

Hornets' Mark Williams: Available, will play Friday
Williams (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Seeing Williams on the injury report is always complicated, but the big man will be available and should handle his regular workload at center in what figures to be a promising matchup against the Bulls. Williams is averaging 18.6 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game since the beginning of January.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Available against Bulls
Diabate (illness) is available for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Diabate will play through an illness for the Hornets on Friday, and he's in line to make his first appearance in the NBA since a Dec. 30 loss to Chicago. The 22-year-old big man should handle Charlotte's backup center role behind starter Mark Williams with Nick Richards now out of the picture, and Diabate is averaging 6.8 rebounds in 17.9 minutes over 30 contests (four starts) in 2024-25.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Questionable for Friday
