Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Undergoes successful surgery
The Pistons announced Thursday that Ivey underwent successful surgery to repair a broken fibula in his left leg, and he will be re-evaluated in four weeks, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
While Ivey is set to be re-evaluated in four weeks, the 22-year-old guard will likely be sidelined for a longer period while recovering from a broken fibula. Until Ivey is able to return to action, Marcus Sasser, Malik Beasley, Tim Hardaway and Ausar Thompson could all see increased roles in Detroit's backcourt.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Diagnosed with broken fibula
The Pistons announced Thursday that Ivey has sustained a broken fibula in his left leg and will miss at least most of the remainder of the season, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Ivey suffered his injury during Wednesday's game versus the Magic and could miss the rest of the 2024-25 campaign. The 22-year-old guard was enjoying the best season of his career, averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 29.9 minutes across 30 appearances. The biggest improvement in Ivey's game was in his efficiency, as he was shooting 46.0 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from three. In his absence, Marcus Sasser, Malik Beasley, Tim Hardaway and Ausar Thompson are all candidates to receive increased playing time.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Suffers serious leg injury
Ivey suffered what appeared to be a severe lower left leg injury early in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's game against Orlando and was taken off the court on a stretcher, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. He recorded 22 points (8-11 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four assists, one rebound and one steal in 27 minutes before leaving the game.
Cole Anthony fell into Ivey's leg while pursuing a loose ball in the fourth quarter, causing Ivey to go down on the hardwood in considerable pain. After an extended delay, Ivey was wheeled to the locker room. The Pistons likely won't have an update on Ivey until he undergoes further testing on his leg, but an extended absence is likely in the cards for the 22-year-old.

Ivey got fouled while converting a three-pointer with three seconds left, and he sank the free throw to seal a dramatic win for the Pistons. Ivey's four-point play was the finishing touch to Detroit's massive rally, coming from 19 points down to clinch the team's 14th win. Ivey has been very productive since returning from a two-game absence, averaging 19.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists over the last three games.

It was close to the type of production that fantasy managers may have come to expect out of Ivey this season. In fact, Ivey is averaging 16.8 points, 4.9 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.9 three-pointers per contest in his last 12 games, which is nearly identical to Saturday's output. The 22-year-old former lottery pick is still averaging 3.1 turnovers per game and shooting a subpar 72.6 percent from the free-throw line this season, which have been issues for nine-category fantasy managers, so he'll remain a more appealing option in points leagues as a secondary ball handler alongside Cade Cunningham in Detroit's starting backcourt.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Strong performance in win
Ivey registered 25 points (10-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-6 FT), five rebounds, eight assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Monday's 102-100 win over the Raptors.
With Cade Cunningham (hip) sidelined again, Ivey produced one of his best games of the campaign to help Detroit snap their three-game losing streak. Ivey shot the ball very poorly in that three-game stretch, so his fantasy managers will be relieved to see him break out of his mini-slump. For the season, he's hitting 44.7 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from beyond the arc, both of which are on pace for career-best marks.
