Jets' Chuck Clark: Logs first sack of season Thursday
Clark finished Thursday's 24-3 win over New England with seven tackles (four solo), including one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Clark got to Jacoby Brissett for an eight-yard sack in the second quarter of Thursday's game, which was Clark's first sack since 2021 when he played for Baltimore. Clark also recovered a fumble he forced from Rhamondre Stevenson early in the fourth quarter, which led to a 28-yard field goal by Greg Zuerlein seven plays later. Clark was the second-leading tackler for the Jets behind Quincy Williams (eight), and the former has played every single defensive snap through the first three games of the regular season.

Jets' Chuck Clark: Participating in OTAs
Clark (knee) is participating fully in OTAs this week, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The veteran safety tore his ACL last summer and missed the entire 2023 campaign after he was acquired from the Ravens last March. Clark re-signed with New York on a one-year deal this offseason and should have a chance to win a starting job in the Jets secondary.

Clark (knee) re-signed with the Jets on a one-year deal Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Clark missed the entirety of the 2023 campaign after suffering an ACL team during the team's offseason training program last summer. The veteran safety was acquired via a trade with the Ravens last March and had been penciled in as the Jets starter at strong safety before suffering the injury. He'll now get another opportunity in the Big Apple and should get another chance to be a starter in the secondary opposite Tony Adams.

Clark suffered an ACL tear during the Jets' offseason program, so his move to IR was simply transactional. The 2017 sixth-round pick was acquired from Baltimore for a seventh-round pick earlier in the offseason and was expected to start for the Jets in 2023 after recording a career-high 101 tackles in 2022. However, the 28-year-old's season-ending injury prompted the Jets to sign former Packers and Bears safety Adrian Amos, who is now the leading candidate to start at safety alongside Jordan Whitehead.

After the Jets acquired him from the Ravens in March in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round pick, Clark appeared set to serve as a starting safety with his new team in 2023. However, Clark's knee injury now seemingly threatens his availability not just for the start of the season, but the entirety of the campaign.
