Bills' Connor McGovern: Ready for starting role
General manager Brandon Beane revealed Sunday that McGovern is in line to take over as the starting center in 2024, Patrick Warren of the Bills' official site reports. "Connor has welcomed the opportunity and he'll get his chance once we start lining up," Beane said.
The Bills released longtime starter Mitch Morse earlier this month, and Morse signed with the Jaguars less than a week later. McGovern started at left guard last season, but the plan as stated by Beane would involve moving David Edwards from a reserve role into McGovern's old position.

Bills' Connor McGovern: Absent from injury report
McGovern (leg) wasn't listed on Buffalo's injury report Thursday.
The 25-year-old suffered an apparent leg injury during a practice in late August, but it seems as if he's moved past the issue. McGovern came over from Dallas this offseason, signing a three-year, $23 million contract with the Bills. Expect the 2019 third-round pick to start at guard for Buffalo during the coming season.
