Rams' Larrell Murchison: Breaks foot
Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Friday that Murchison will head back to injured reserve after breaking his foot during Wednesday's practice, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Murchison was just activated off injured reserve Friday, but it now appears he'll head back after breaking his foot. The 27-year-old defensive lineman has yet to suit up for the Rams this season, and he'll now be forced to miss Los Angeles' next four contests. Murchison can return as early as Week 10, when the Rams play the Dolphins.

Despite Murchison's activation off IR, the 27-year-old downgraded from a limited practice Wednesday to a DNP on Thursday, indicating he's still dealing with his arm issue. Murchison registered one tackle before leaving Sunday's contest in the second half. The 2020 fifth-round pick is competing for a depth spot on the Rams' defensive line behind Kobie Turner and Bobby Brown.

The 26-year-old defensive lineman spent time with the Rams during each of the last two seasons, and he'll remain in Los Angeles after agreeing to a new one-year deal Friday. Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Murchinson (neck) is okay and will play in Week 17 against the Chargers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Although Murchinson sustained a stinger in his neck this past weekend versus Denver, the 297-pounder should continue operating in his usual rotational role on the Rams' defensive line New Year's Day against the Chargers. Murchison also logged career highs in both tackles (four) and sacks (two) in Sunday's blowout win over the Broncos.

Murchison is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Broncos due to a neck injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Murchison had a strong start to Sunday's matchup, as he logged four solo tackles, including two sacks. However, he sustained a neck injury in the second half.
