  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Moving elsewhere in NFC West

The Rams and Parkinson agreed to terms of a three-year, $22.5 million contract Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Parkinson thus will get a chance to serve as L.A.'s top tight end in 2024 until Tyler Higbee completes his recovery from ACL and MCL tears that he sustained in the team's wild-card loss to the Rams in January. Considering the damage to Higbee's right knee, that may result in Parkinson handling TE duties for a good portion of the upcoming campaign, assuming the Rams don't make any big splashes at the position this offseason. Parkinson was modestly productive for the Seahawks the last two seasons, combining for a 50-569-4 line on 68 targets in 34 games.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Finishes with 247 yards

Parkinson finished the 2023 season with 25 receptions for 247 yards and two touchdowns through 17 games.

Parkinson ended up playing more snaps than Will Dissly but fewer than Noah Fant (hand) as the team's No. 2 tight end, averaging 27.6 offensive snaps per game. Both Parkinson and Fant will be free agents in March, while Dissly is signed for the 2024 season, albeit with an unfavorable $10.1 million cap hit. This was Parkinson's second straight season with 25 receptions, so he'll likely be an affordable option if the Seahawks choose to keep him around.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Finds end zone in win

Parkinson caught three of four targets for 17 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Titans.

Parkinson's touchdown was his second of the season, as the veteran tight end has now recorded 20 receptions for 201 yards and two scores in 15 games this season. Despite playing less than half of No. 1 tight end Noah Fant's offensive snaps in the contest, Parkinson was far more involved in the Seahawks' passing attack. The 24-year-old Parkinson's four targets were his most since Week 6, while Fant failed to record a single target against the Titans. Despite his increased opportunities, Parkinson's fantasy utility is extremely limited heading into a Week 17 matchup against the Steelers.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Makes one catch in win

Parkinson caught his lone target for six yards in Monday's 20-17 win over the Eagles.

Parkinson finished with a 34 percent snap share. It was the ninth time this season that Parkinson didn't catch more than one pass, and he hasn't topped 30 yards in a game since Week 3 against the Panthers.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Finds end zone against 49ers

Parkinson caught both of his targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the 49ers.

Parkinson's touchdown was his first of the season, as the veteran tight end hasn't played a significant role in Seattle's offensive attack in 2023 behind starter Noah Fant. Through 13 weeks, Parkinson has totaled just 16 catches on 22 targets for 178 yards. With such limited opportunities in the Seahawks' scheme, the 24-year-old should not be trusted for fantasy purposes when the Seahawks host the Eagles in Week 15.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: No targets in Week 11

Parkinson wasn't targeted in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Rams.

Parkinson dealt with a bicep injury during the week but was able to play through it. He finished third among Seahawks tight ends with 21 offensive snaps. The fourth-year tight end has been targeted twice over the past four weeks.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Ready for Week 11 action

Parkinson (biceps) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's road game against the Rams, Sarah Barshop of reports.

After opening Week 11 prep with an absence from Wednesday's practice due to a biceps injury, Parkinson followed it up with a limited session Thursday and all activity Friday, thus clearing him for Sunday's contest. The Seahawks have split the TE snaps between Parkinson (49.9 percent on offense), Noah Fant (52.9) and Will Dissly (43.4) this season, and Parkinson himself has tallied 13 catches to Fant's 16 and Dissly's eight. Expect a similar outcome this weekend.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Practices Thursday

Parkinson (biceps) was a limited participant in practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

The tight end played through the same injury last week against the Commanders and may be trending in the same direction for Sunday's contest against the Rams. Parkinson is sharing time with Noah Fant and Will Dissly this season, playing more than 40 percent of the snaps in all but one game. Parkinson has 13 catches for 141 yards and no touchdowns in 2023.

  • Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Absent Wednesday

Parkinson (biceps) did not practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Parkinson missed practice time last week with the same injury but was able to play against the Commanders, catching a three-yard pass on one target across 33 offensive snaps. Parkinson plays in a three-way committee approach at tight end for the Seahawks alongside Noah Fant and Will Dissly.
