Gay sat out the Colts' Week 1 loss to the Texans while recovering from sports hernia surgery, but head coach Shane Steichen confirmed Wednesday that the kicker is "good to go" for Sunday's road matchup in Green Bay, per George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin. During the 2023 season, Gay appeared in all 17 games and converted 33 of 41 field-goal attempts -- including an 8-for-13 mark from 50-plus yards -- while knocking down 35 of 36 extra-point tries.

Gay has been in recovery mode since undergoing surgery on a sports hernia following Indianapolis' last preseason game Aug. 22. He didn't practice at all this week, but the team still is giving him a chance to serve as its placekicker Sunday.
