Bills' Ray Davis: Enters concussion protocol
Davis has been diagnosed with a concussion and is ruled out for the rest of Sunday's AFC wild-card game against the Broncos.
Davis was hit in the head by Brandon Jones while attempting to haul in a pass from Josh Allen in the third quarter, which resulted in an unnecessary roughness penalty on Jones. Davis was down on the field for an extended period of time, but he did manage to walk to the sidelines before being taken to the locker room. Ty Johnson will serve as the Bills' backup running back behind James Cook for the rest of Sunday's game due to Davis' injury. If Buffalo wins Sunday, Davis would have to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol in order to play in the divisional round.

Bills' Ray Davis: Takes advantage of bigger workload
Davis carried the ball 15 times for 64 yards and caught two of three targets for one yard and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Patriots.
With the Bills resting most of their key personnel, in whole or in part, Davis wound up seeing the larger portion of a backfield timeshare with James Cook and turned the extra touches into solid production, which included a two-yard TD from Mitchell Trubisky in the second quarter. Davis has had a respectable rookie campaign, amassing 631 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns (three rushing, three receiving) over 17 regular-season games, but he should take a back seat to Cook once again when Buffalo begins its playoff run next weekend at home against Denver.

Bills' Ray Davis: Records 13 total yards
Davis rushed six times for nine yards and caught his lone target for four yards in Sunday's 40-14 win over the Jets.
Davis played just 16 of the Bills 70 offensive snaps in Sunday's contest, finishing behind fellow running backs James Cook and Ty Johnson in playing time. Unfortunately for the rookie, he was unable to produce noteworthy fantasy numbers with his seven touches. With Buffalo clinching the No. 2 seed, however, it's possible that Davis could see a major uptick in usage in Week 18 if the Bills decide to rest their starters. This would give the Kentucky product a chance to see an expanded role in place of Cook, but he would likely split work with Johnson in this scenario. Up next for the Bills is a Week 18 matchup with the Patriots.

Davis rushed five times for 12 yards and caught his lone target for 17 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Patriots.
Davis was on the field for just 14 of the Bills' 59 offensive snaps, the fewest of any Buffalo running back behind Ty Johnson (23) and James Cook (21). Barring an injury to either Cook or Johnson, Davis will continue to be an unreliable fantasy option going forward. The Bills will host the Jets in Week 17.

Davis rushed 11 times for 63 yards and a touchdown while catching his only target for four yards in Sunday's 35-10 win over the 49ers.
Davis was involved early, scoring a five-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, but most of his yardage came later in the game after the result was no longer in doubt. James Cook (14 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown) paced Buffalo's backfield as usual, but Davis benefited from a run-heavy game plan in snowy conditions. Davis will continue to work as the team's No. 2 running back behind Cook in Week 14 against the Rams.

Davis was minimally involved in the Bills game plan against the Chiefs, as the rookie running back continued to operate in a limited role. The 25-year-old played just 15 of the Bills' 73 offensive snaps, the fewest of any Buffalo running back behind Ty Johnson (33) and James Cook (27). Davis remains difficult to trust for fantasy purposes while Cook is healthy. The Bills head into a Week 12 bye before hosting the 49ers on Dec. 1.
