  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two points including Game 3 winner

Verhaeghe scored the game-winning goal on the power play and added an even-strength assist Monday in the Panthers' 6-1 win over the Oilers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The 29-year-old wired the puck past Stuart Skinner from the faceoff dot late in the first period, giving Florida a 2-0 lead that the team would never relinquish. It was Verhaeghe's first goal of the series and his seventh of the playoffs, four of which have come with the man advantage. Through 21 postseason contests, he's piled up 20 points, 54 hits and 47 shots on net.

Verhaeghe set up a Dmitry Kulikov goal in the second period, which tied the game at 3-3. The 29-year-old Verhaeghe has four points over his last three games, a stretch that earned him a move back up to the top line for this contest. Overall, the winger has logged 17 points, 43 shots on net, 53 hits, six PIM and a plus-4 rating across 19 playoff outings.

Verhaeghe scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 5. Verhaeghe's third-period tally was the game-winner and series-clincher, sending the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Finals for the third year in a row. He put up six points over five contests versus the Hurricanes in this series. Verhaeghe is at six goals, 14 points, 38 shots on net, 48 hits and a plus-4 rating across 17 playoff outings, a level of performance that's become expected of him in the postseason.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Trio of assists in Game 2 win

Verhaeghe had three assists in a 5-0 win over the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday. He and Sam Bennett continue to pour on the pressure, and the Canes have had no response. The two men are tied with Eetu Luostarinen for the team lead in scoring with 13 points in 14 games. Verhaeghe appeared on Conn Smythe ballots in 2024, and at this rate, he'll see that again.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two-point effort in Tuesday's win

Verhaeghe delivered a goal and an assist Tuesday, both on the power play, in the Panthers' 5-2 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The 29-year-old opened the scoring midway through the first period before helping to set up a Sam Bennett tally early in the third that put Florida up 4-1. Verhaeghe didn't get onto the scoresheet in the final three games of the Panthers' second-round series against the Maple Leafs, but he's had a productive postseason overall with five goals and 11 points in 14 contests, including three goals and five points with the man advantage.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Stays warm with power-play goal

Verhaeghe scored a power-play goal on two shots in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 4. Verhaeghe has looked like himself in this second-round series, racking up two goals and five points over four contests. The winger is at four goals, four helpers, three power-play points, 23 shots on net, 36 hits and a plus-1 rating over nine playoff outings. He was on the second line to begin Sunday's game, but Verhaeghe could be moved back up to the top line for Game 5 on Wednesday after Evan Rodrigues (upper body) suffered an injury.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two points, seven hits in Game 3

Verhaeghe notched a goal, an assist, three shots and seven hits in Friday's 5-4 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 3. The 29-year-old forward has been playing at a high level and has recorded points in four of his last five playoff appearances, tallying three goals, three assists, 14 shots, 30 hits and two blocked shots over that stretch. Even though the likes of Aleksander Barkov, Sam Reinhart and Matthew Tkachuk gain most of the attention from opposing defenses, Verhaeghe has been doing a good job of late, especially since his regular-season numbers took a hit compared to his previous two campaigns.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Puts away empty-netter

Verhaeghe scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added five hits in Monday's 4-2 win over the Lightning in Game 4. The Panthers scored three times in the final four minutes of the contest, with Verhaeghe putting the finishing touches on the win. The 29-year-old winger has managed two points, nine shots on net, 10 hits and an even plus-minus rating over four playoff outings. He continues to play on the top line and appears to have carried over some momentum from late in the regular season, which he closed out with six points over five games.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Picks up helper in win

Verhaeghe notched an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Lightning in Game 1. Verhaeghe helped out on a go-ahead goal by Sam Reinhart late in the first period. The 29-year-old Verhaeghe is turning things around with at least one point in six straight games (three goals, four assists). He had a mediocre regular season of 20 goals and 53 points in 81 appearances, a drop of 19 points compared to 2023-24. He's still logging top-line minutes to begin the playoffs, which puts him in a position to rack up plenty of offense.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Reaches 20-goal mark

Verhaeghe scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers. Verhaeghe has three goals and two assists over his last four outings. He reached the 20-goal mark with that tally and now has 52 points, 242 shots on net, 94 hits, 46 PIM and a minus-15 rating through 80 appearances. It's been a rough regular season for Verhaeghe, at least compared to the previous two campaigns, but he has 55 points in 69 career playoff games, so he should be able to turn up the offense in the postseason.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two points in Saturday's win

Verhaeghe scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sabres. Both points came in the second period, as the 29-year-old got the Panthers on the board early in the frame before helping to set up a Jesse Puljujarvi tally. Verhaeghe has found the scoresheet in three straight appearances, breaking out of a slump that had seen him manage just one goal and three points in 16 games from March 1 into April, and Saturday's performance has put him over the 50-point mark for the fourth straight season.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Not playing Thursday

Verhaeghe (rest) will not be available Thursday versus Detroit, per Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post. Verhaeghe has been slumping of late, going 13 games without a goal before scoring his 18th of the season Wednesday versus Toronto. The 29-year-old forward is likely to play Saturday versus Buffalo. Look for Jesper Boqvist to re-enter the lineup in place of Verhaeghe versus Detroit.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Snaps 13-game goal drought

Verhaeghe netted a goal in a 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Verhaeghe scored an empty-net goal at 19:13 of the third to end a 13-game goal drought and seal the 3-1 final. He sits at 49 points (18 goals, 31 assists) with 236 shots in 78 games. That's a far cry from his back-to-back 70-plus seasons over the previous two years. However, he is just one season removed from being in consideration for the 2024 Conn Smythe trophy, so Verhaeghe's regular-season production won't matter to Florida. Unfortunately, that does little to help fantasy managers who were counting on a year closer to his previous two.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Supplies helper Sunday

Verhaeghe notched an assist and five shots on goal in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens. Verhaeghe's offense has gone a bit cold again in March. He's in a nine-game goal drought and has just two assists with 28 shots on net and a minus-8 rating in that span. He's still part of the Panthers' top six, but he's had a disappointing 2024-25 with 17 goals, 47 points, 224 shots on net, 85 hits, 38 PIM and a minus-20 rating over 73 appearances.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Scores in Saturday's win

Verhaeghe scored a goal on five shots in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Sabres. Verhaeghe has gone 10 games without a multi-point effort since his Feb. 2 hat trick and assist. The 29-year-old forward has put up two goals, two assists and 31 shots on net in that 10-game span, though he was back on the top line Saturday after a two-game dip in ice time. For the season, he's produced 17 goals, 45 points, 196 shots on net, 75 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 64 appearances. A career-low 8.7 shooting percentage largely explains the massive drop in Verhaeghe's offense after consecutive 70-point campaigns.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Pots game-winner Thursday

Verhaeghe scored a goal and blocked three shots in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Oilers. Verhaeghe ended a five-game goal drought, during which he had two assists. Thanks to a four-point game versus the Islanders on Feb. 2, Verhaeghe had a decent month with five goals and four assists over eight contests. He's run a little streaky in 2024-25, amassing 16 goals, 44 points, 181 shots on net, 75 hits and a minus-13 rating across 60 appearances. He'll push for the 60-point mark down the stretch, but he's likely to end up with his lowest point total in three years.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Hat trick on home ice

Verhaeghe scored three goals, dished an assist and posted a plus-4 rating in Sunday's home win over the Islanders. Sunday's performance was Verhaeghe's best offensively this season, as he tallied a hat trick on just three shots. This was Verhaeghe's first hat trick of the season and the fourth of his career. The 29-year-old winger has six points over his last two games with a plus-6 rating and 12 shots on net. Overall, Verhaeghe has 15 goals, 26 assists, 41 points and 165 shots on net in 54 appearances. Playing on the top line at even strength for the Panthers, the winger is in a brilliant position to use this game as a fire starter. Verhaeghe has posted back-to-back seasons with more than 70 points. He's off that pace in 2024-25 but closing the gap quickly after a six-point weekend.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two-point effort in win

Verhaeghe scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 5-1 win over Chicago. The 29-year-old has had trouble building any momentum since late December. Saturday's effort was only the second time in the last 20 games that Verhaeghe has delivered multiple points, a sluggish stretch in which he's managed just three goals and 10 points. After reaching the 30-goal and 70-point plateaus in each of the last two seasons, Verhaeghe is well short of those paces with just 12 goals and 37 points in 53 appearances so far in 2024-25.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Produces helper in big win

Verhaeghe notched an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Sharks. Verhaeghe has two goals and six helpers over his last 11 contests. He's spent much of that time on the third line, and it appears he's adjusted well to his new role after faltering in a top-six spot during December. The winger is up to 11 goals, 24 assists, 148 shots on net, 69 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-16 rating over 50 appearances this season, well off the pace that has seen him top the 70-point mark in each of the last two campaigns.
