Senators' Shane Pinto: Ice-cold on offense
Pinto has not recorded a point over 14 games since he returned from an undisclosed injury Nov. 12.
Pinto was held off the scoresheet again in a 5-1 win over the Ducks, though he led the Senators' forward group with 19:29 of ice time in the blowout win. He's seen steady middle-six usage and remains part of the power-play mix amid his scoring struggles. The 24-year-old now has three points, 31 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-9 rating over 20 appearances. Pinto flashed 50-point potential last season, earning 27 points in 41 games with an average of 18:07 of ice time. He's seen a reduced role this year, but that doesn't explain the totality of his slump.

Senators' Nick Jensen: Notches assist in win
Jensen had an assist and four blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
Jensen is enjoying a strong start to December with three helpers over five games. The defenseman led all Senators with a season-high 24:44 of ice time in this contest. He remains a critical shutdown blueliner for Ottawa, though he's also chipped in with 11 points over 28 outings. Jensen has added 37 shots on net, 33 hits, 31 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating in a top-four role.

Senators' Jake Sanderson: Adds power-play assist
Sanderson notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
Sanderson ended a six-game point drought with the helper. Prior to that slump, he racked up four assists over a three-game span. The defenseman has contributed 15 points (12 on the power play), 57 shots on net, 53 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating through 28 appearances. He's on pace to top the 40-point mark for the first time in his career, but that scoring rate could be endangered if the Senators' power play slumps at any stage of the season.

Senators' Josh Norris: Helps out on power play
Norris notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal, two blocked shots and two PIM in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
Norris got on the scoresheet in consecutive games for the first time since a three-game streak from Nov. 9-14. The center helped out on the second of Drake Batherson's three goals in the game. Norris has been overshadowed by some of the Senators' other forwards, but he's still put up a strong 19 points (eight on the power play) with 56 shots on net, 72 hits, 28 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 28 contests. He had 30 points in 50 regular-season outings last year, so he should be able to surpass that total as long as he stays healthy in 2024-25.

Senators' Tim Stutzle: Contributes two power-play assists
Stutzle logged two power-play assists in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
Stutzle has had a pair of helpers in three straight contests. That's helped to soften the blow of a five-game goal drought, one game shy of his longest scoring slump of the campaign. The 22-year-old is up to 10 goals, 26 helpers, 56 shots on net, 50 hits, 22 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 28 appearances. Stutzle has a 39-goal campaign to his name, but he's also topped 50 assists in each of the last two years, so don't underestimate his playmaking skill.

Senators' Noah Gregor: Finds twine in win
Gregor scored a goal in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
Gregor has a goal and an assist over his last two outings after going seven games without a point. During that slump, he missed five games due to an undisclosed injury, which may have affected his productivity even after he returned. The 26-year-old remains in a fourth-line role for the Senators, where he has five points, 33 shots on net, 42 hits and a minus-3 rating over 23 contests.

Senators' Brady Tkachuk: One of each on power play
Tkachuk scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist and added two hits in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
Both of Tkachuk's points came on the power play. The 25-year-old winger had been held off the scoresheet over the previous two contests, his first multi-game drought all season. He's up to 14 goals, 17 helpers, 13 power-play points, 120 shots on net, 108 hits, 50 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 28 outings overall.

Senators' Drake Batherson: Natural hat trick, 100th goal in win
Batherson scored three goals on five shots, added an assist and logged two hits in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
Batherson scored twice on the power play in the first period, with the first of those goals being the 100th of his career. The 26-year-old completed his natural hat trick midway through the second period and then set up a Brady Tkachuk power-play marker in the third. This is Batherson's best game of the season to date, and it snapped a six-game goal drought, though he had six helpers in that span. The winger is up to 12 tallies, 32 points (16 on the power play), 64 shots on net, 48 hits and a minus-1 rating over 28 appearances.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Wins third straight start
Ullmark stopped 31 of 32 shots in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
Ullmark has allowed exactly one goal in each of his last three games, winning all of them. The 31-year-old limited the Ducks to a Cutter Gauthier tally in the third period in Wednesday's contest. Ullmark improved to 8-7-2 with a 2.70 GAA and a .903 save percentage through 18 appearances. It's taken some time for him to get on track, but the Swede is looking like the goalie the Senators expected him to be when they traded from him over the summer. The Senators have a back-to-back up next, with a tough road game against the Hurricanes on Friday followed by a more favorable home matchup against the Penguins on Saturday.

Senators' Zack Ostapchuk: Leaves game early
Ostapchuk (undisclosed) did not finish Wednesday's game versus the Ducks, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.
There was no update on Ostapchuk's status after the game. He had an assist and two hits over 5:41 of ice time Wednesday. If he is unavailable for Friday's game versus the Hurricanes, the Senators will likely need to call up a forward.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Set to face Anaheim
Ullmark is expected to start in Wednesday's home tilt against Anaheim, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Ullmark won his last two games while allowing just two goals on 57 shots (.965 save percentage). He could be turning a corner after a rough start to his tenure with the Senators. He has a 7-7-2 record, 2.81 GAA and .898 save percentage through 17 outings in 2024-25. The Ducks rank 30th in the NHL with 2.42 goals per game.

Senators' Nikolas Matinpalo: Sent back down
Matinpalo was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Wednesday.
Matinpalo's demotion ahead of Wednesday's matchup with Anaheim is a bit surprising, as it leaves the Senators without any extra defensive depth. The 26-year-old Finn has yet to get into an NHL game this season but has chipped in six points over 17 minor-league contests for Belleville.

Senators' Nikolas Matinpalo: Elevated from minors
Matinpalo was promoted from AHL Belleville on Tuesday.
Matinpalo's last stint in the NHL was hampered by an illness that led to him missing out on his two opportunities to make his 2024-25 season debut. Even with this latest call-up, the blueliner is far from a lock to play in Wednesday's clash with the Ducks as he'll need to edge out Jacob Bernard-Docker for a spot in the lineup.

Senators' Noah Gregor: Notches helper
Gregor logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.
This was Gregor's first point in six games since he returned from an undisclosed injury that cost him five contests. The 26-year-old has held down a bottom-six role since his return, so he shouldn't be expected to generate a lot of offense. Gregor is at four points, 32 shots on net, 41 hits and 10 PIM through 22 outings this season.

Senators' Anton Forsberg: Suffers another defeat
Forsberg gave up three goals and stopped nine shots in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders. The fourth goal was an empty-netter with 51 seconds left in the third period.
Forsberg made his first start since a 5-2 loss to the Kings on Nov. 30, and he had another subpar performance. He has posted a save percentage below the .890 mark in his last five appearances, going 1-4-0 with a 3.26 GAA and an .862 save percentage in that span.

Senators' Tim Stutzle: Two more assists Sunday
Stutzle recorded two assists, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.
Stutzle participated in the build-up of both goals Sunday, but his efforts were not enough to lift Ottawa to victory. The 22-year-old playmaker has been productive of late and has cracked the scoresheet in all but one of his previous 10 appearances, with three goals and 10 helpers, including four on the power play, in that span.

Senators' Josh Norris: Scores PP goal Sunday
Norris scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.
Norris has cracked the scoresheet thrice over his last six outings, potting four goals and taking 12 shots in that span. The 25-year-old center has been very physical in that span as well, tallying 15 hits and seven blocked shots. Even though most of his fantasy upside will be tied to his scoring figures, Norris can offer extra value in formats that value hits and physicality.
