  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Nets shortie

Krebs scored a shorthanded goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Flyers. Krebs snapped his seven-game goal drought with his first-period tally. The 24-year-old center emerged as a middle-six option late in the season after spending much of the early part of 2024-25 on the fourth line. Krebs reached the 10-goal mark for the first time in his career with Thursday's tally, and he ended the season with 28 points and 81 games played, both career highs. He added 80 shots on net, 136 hits, 60 PIM and a plus-1 rating.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Nabs helper Sunday

Krebs logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning. Krebs has three helpers over his last six games. Prior to that, he had a stretch of six points over five contests, so this is a bit of a slowdown but nothing to be concerned about for a middle-six forward. The 24-year-old is at a career-high 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) while adding 75 shots on net, 130 hits, 32 blocked shots, 60 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 79 appearances this season.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Contributes pair of assists

Krebs notched two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Bruins. Krebs saw a five-game point streak end Saturday versus the Lightning, but he bounced back quickly. He has three goals and five assists over his last seven contests despite a lack of power-play time during his hot stretch. Overall, the 24-year-old center has matched his career high with 26 points (nine goals, 17 assists), over 75 games, which is identical production to his 74-game effort in 2022-23. He's added 72 shots on net, 122 hits, 60 PIM and an even plus-minus rating this year as a regular in Buffalo's bottom six.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Riding five-game point streak

Krebs scored a goal, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Senators. Krebs is on a five-game point streak, earning three goals and three assists in that span. He's in a bottom-six role at even strength, but he's earned a bit more ice time with his recent play, including his fourth-highest total of the season Tuesday (17:46). Overall, the center has nine goals, 24 points, 69 shots, 117 hits, 60 PIM and a minus-2 rating across 73 appearances.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Strikes empty net Sunday

Krebs scored an empty-net goal and had two shots on net in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Capitals. Krebs placed the cherry on top of a March-Madness-worthy upset over the Capitals in a 13-goal thriller. Overall, Krebs has eight goals, 23 points and 68 shots on net in 72 appearances this season. The 24-year-old center has been one of many Sabres forwards thriving offensively as of late and has a four-game point streak consisting of two goals and three assists. Krebs is just three points away from tying his career high in points from the 2022-23 campaign. If he can maintain the momentum he has built on his four-game point streak, he has a great chance to pencil the 2024-25 season as a new personal best.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Two points in rout

Krebs scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Penguins. It was Krebs' first multi-point performance since Jan. 20. The 24-year-old is up to seven goals and 21 points through 70 appearances, but he has produced a career-high 115 hits while mainly serving in a bottom-six role.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Nets power-play goal

Krebs scored a power-play goal and tallied four shots on net in Monday's 3-2 win in overtime against Boston. Krebs lit the lamp for the opening goal of Monday's contest just over four minutes into the first period. His goal came with a man advantage and was his first power-play point of the season. Overall, the 24-year-old center has six goals, 18 points and 62 shots on net in 65 appearances this season. Krebs still has time to match his career high in points of 26 but is currently off the pace with just two points in his last 20 games. What is encouraging, however, is that both of those points are goals in his past six appearances. Krebs is best left off fantasy radars for the time being but should see a good amount of ice time down the stretch, as the Sabres are unlikely to grab a playoff spot in the Atlantic.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Gets on scoresheet with goal

Krebs scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Lightning. Krebs snapped a 14-game point drought, and he did it with his first goal since Dec. 29. Over the 23 contests between tallies, the center was limited to five assists, a minus-5 rating, 23 shots on net and 39 hits. Krebs brings a physical element to the Sabres' bottom six, but his scoring is limited. He's at 17 points through 60 outings, matching his total from 80 appearances a year ago, and he's added 55 shots on net, 35 PIM and 106 hits in 2024-25.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Generates helper Thursday

Krebs notched an assist and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Senators. Krebs has earned three points over his last six outings. He remains firmly in a bottom-six role, though he could draw a little more playing time if the Sabres' usage of seven defensemen from Thursday becomes a regular thing. Krebs is at 13 points, 30 shots on net, 71 hits, 19 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 41 appearances.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Gathers assist in loss

Krebs notched an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Rangers. Krebs has three helpers over his last three outings. Two of his three highest ice-time totals have come over the last two games, including a season-high 17:10 in this loss, which suggests he's playing a larger role than his fourth-line assignment indicates. Krebs hasn't had much success in 2024-25 with 10 points, 22 shots on net, 48 hits, 15 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 28 appearances, but a major lineup shuffle could be on the way after the Sabres dropped an eighth straight game Wednesday. Given Krebs' recent trends, he could stand to benefit.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Scores in Monday's loss

Krebs scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 7-5 loss to the Canadiens. Krebs has two points over his last three games, but offense is likely to remain sporadic for him as long as he's on the fourth line. The 23-year-old center is up to five points, 10 shots on net, 25 hits and 13 PIM over 15 appearances. Krebs could help in deep fantasy formats that reward his physical playing style.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Scores opening goal

Krebs scored a goal and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Stars. Krebs got a shot past Jake Oettinger at 12:21 of the second period. With a point in each of the last two games, Krebs appears to be getting a bit more comfortable with his fourth-line role. The 23-year-old has a total of three points, four shots on net, 14 hits and nine PIM over seven appearances, averaging 10:56 of ice time this season compared to 12:30 per game last year.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Puts up helper Saturday

Krebs managed an assist, two hits and two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. Krebs has been confined to a fourth-line role this season. His helper came on linemate Beck Malenstyn's first-period tally. Through six appearances, Krebs has two assists, three shots on net, 14 hits and seven PIM. A first-round pick of Vegas in 2019, Krebs has rarely had a chance to play on a scoring line throughout his career. Saturday's outing marked the third time in six games that he's topped 10 minutes of ice time this season, and his usage is trending in the wrong direction after he averaged 12:30 per game in 2023-24.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Generates helper in win

Krebs logged an assist, four PIM, three hits and a plus-3 rating in Monday's 6-2 win over the Kraken. Krebs remains mired in a goal drought, which is now up to 27 contests. He has just seven helpers in that span, and he's not contributing much else to offset the lack of scoring. The 23-year-old shouldn't be expected to rise above a third-line role with such limited offense. He's at 14 points, 63 shots on net, 61 PIM, 72 hits and a plus-5 rating through 67 appearances on the year.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Nabs assist in win

Krebs posted an assist and two hits in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Kings. Krebs' contributions remain limited in a fourth-line role, but he's managed three points over his last seven games. The 22-year-old helped out on an Alex Tuch tally in the third period, which was the game-winner. Krebs is up to nine points, 48 shots on net, 48 PIM, 43 hits and a plus-4 rating over 46 contests this season, so he's not a player most fantasy managers need to be familiar with.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Bags apple Thursday

Krebs notched an assist in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Blackhawks. Krebs has scored just one goal in his last 16 outings, adding two helpers and 24 shots over that stretch. Barring an injury in the lineup, the 22-year-old center figures to remain in a bottom-six role and shouldn't be expected to factor in much with the man advantage, especially once Jeff Skinner (upper body) and Dylan Cozens (upper body) return to the lineup.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Goal, assist in loss

Krebs recorded a goal and an assist in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Blues. Krebs picked up an assist on Rasmus Dahlin's first-period tally before scoring his first goal of the season in the third, tying the game at 3-3. It's an encouraging effort from Krebs, who'd been struggling offensively this year -- he had just one point in 20 contests prior to Thursday's outing. The 22-year-old center tallied nine goals and 26 points in 74 games last season.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Scores goal in finale

Krebs recorded a goal in a 5-2 victory over Columbus on Friday. Krebs didn't get a tally over his previous 28 contests, though he did register nine assists in that span. With the 2022-23 campaign in the books, Krebs has finished with nine goals, 26 points, 78 shots and 93 hits. The 22-year-old surpassed his 2021-22 totals of seven goals and 22 points, but that's mostly thanks to him jumping from 57 appearances last season to 74 games in 2022-23.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: First multi-point game in a month

Krebs dished out two assists in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Capitals. Krebs posted his first multi-point performance in exactly one month, and Feb. 15 was also the last time he scored a goal. The 22-year-old forward has yet to produce consistently at the NHL level, but Krebs has shown flashes of the talent that prompted Vegas to draft him 17th overall in 2019 before trading him to Buffalo, so it's too early to write him off completely.

  • Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Lights lamp twice against Ducks

Krebs scored two goals in Saturday's 6-3 win over Anaheim. After tapping home a loose puck in front of the Ducks net midway through the second period, Krebs fired a laser over John Gibson's glove in the third to wrap up the scoring on the afternoon. It's the second multi-goal game of the 21-year-old's career, with the other coming last March against the Leafs, and on the season Krebs has six goals and 12 points through 37 games. The 17th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft still has upside, but as long as he remains in a bottom-six role for the Sabres, his fantasy value will remain sketchy.
