Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Not in Sunday's lineup
Hernandez (ankle) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
The 31-year-old will sit for the second straight game after he suffered a left ankle contusion during Friday's contest. Hernandez was initially expected to require a trip to the injured list, but he's currently considered day-to-day after an MRI and CT scan came back negative. Andy Pages is receiving a start in left field Sunday for Los Angeles.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Scans come back clean
Hernandez said Saturday that an MRI and CT scan on his left ankle came back negative, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
There was initially concern that Hernandez would need to spend time on the injured list after he was hit by a pitch during Friday's contest. However, it now appears the 31-year-old outfielder escaped the incident with no more than a bruise. He'll likely remain out for the remainder of the Dodgers' series versus Cleveland, though there's a chance he returns to the starting nine against the Cubs on Monday or Tuesday.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Likely to need IL stint
Hernandez (ankle) will likely be placed on the injured list, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hernandez was hit in the foot with a pitch in the first inning Friday and left the game immediately. Manager Dave Roberts said Hernandez "isn't doing great" despite X-rays coming back negative. Chris Taylor entered the game in his place and is one of the players who could see more playing time in Hernandez's absence, along with Andy Pages.

Hernandez logged five hits for the third time in his career and also tallied his second triple and 10th stolen base of the season. The performance was Hernandez's first multi-hit game since Aug. 21. Since the start of August, Hernandez has gone 33-for-108 (.306) with six homers, six steals, 18 RBI and 20 runs.

Hernandez brought the Dodgers, who had fallen behind early, to within a run with his two-run shot to center field in the fourth inning. The long ball snapped an 11-game homerless stretch for the outfielder, who batted just .186 and had only one extra-base hit during the cold spell. Hernandez is up to 27 home runs on the season as he pursues the second 30-homer campaign of his career, and his first since 2021.

Hernandez went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.
Hernandez led off the bottom of the fourth with a single before stealing second and eventually coming around to score on a sacrifice fly from Will Smith. The outfielder would then add an RBI single with two outs in the fifth, giving him his sixth multi-hit performance this month. Hernandez is now batting .292 in August with four homers, 12 RBI and 15 runs scored. However, over his last seven games he's batting just .153 (4-for-26).

Hernandez doubled in the opening frame and came around to score the Dodgers' first run of the contest on a two-bagger from Gavin Lux with two outs in the frame. The outfielder added an infield single in his next trip to the plate before crushing a 427-foot solo homer off Paul Skenes in the fifth to extend Los Angeles' lead. It marked Hernandez's fourth multi-hit effort this month and his eighth consecutive game with at least one knock. He's now batting .438 (14-for-32) in August with four homers, five doubles, seven RBI and 12 runs scored.
