White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Pulled off rehab due to soreness
The White Sox halted Moncada's (adductor) minor-league rehab assignment Monday due to what manager Pedro Grifol referred to as "anticipated soreness," LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Grifol suggested that Moncada isn't dealing with a setback in his recovery from a left adductor strain, but the infielder's rehab program has been paused for the time being while he's not feeling fully comfortable. On the shelf since early April with the injury, Moncada started up his rehab assignment July 9 in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, going 8-for-15 with one double in five contests. Moncada will be re-evaluated before the White Sox determine when he might be ready for game action in the minors.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Won't be rushed back
The White Sox are being cautious in their plans for Moncada's (thigh) return, MLB.com reports.
Moncada has gone 8-for-15 across five games with the Arizona Complex League club but has had mixed results in terms of his recovery, per manager Pedro Grifol. The team has consistently stated they will be cautious with Moncada, so he could engage in a lengthy rehab assignment.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Starting rehab assignment
Moncada (adductor) will begin a rehab assignment with the White Sox' Arizona Complex League affiliate Tuesday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
It will be his first game action in three months, as Moncada has been slowly working his way back from an adductor strain. Given the long layoff, he will surely require several rehab games before returning to Chicago's active roster. A return before the end of the month for Moncada should be doable.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Starting rehab assignment soon
Moncada (adductor) will begin a rehab assignment with the White Sox's Arizona Complex League affiliate Tuesday and could rejoin the MLB club by the end of July, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Moncada will exclusively DH to start out his minor-league rehab stint, which will serve as his first in-game action since he suffered an adductor strain in early April. The veteran third baseman still has multiple checkpoints to clear before being reinstated, but he could be back before the calendar flips to August.
