Singer did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Rockies. He struck out nine.
Singer worked around plenty of traffic Saturday but limited the damage to three runs before exiting. The right-hander has been serviceable, though unspectacular, in his first season with the Reds, carrying a 4.32 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 100 innings in 19 starts.

Reds' Brady Singer: Yields two runs in losing effort
Singer (7-7) took the loss Monday against Miami, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out three.
After fanning 20 in 14 innings over his three previous starts, Singer struggled to keep the Marlins lineup off balance, generating a paltry six whiffs out of his 96 total pitches. The Cincinnati right-hander coughed up both runs in the fifth inning -- the first on an Agustin Ramirez double and the second on a Liam Hicks single. Singer has pitched to a 4.32 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 83:39 K:BB across 93.2 frames in his first season with the Reds. He is currently slated to make his next start against the Rockies at home this weekend.

Reds' Brady Singer: Start cut short due to rain
Singer struck out four and allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks in three innings in his start Tuesday against the Red Sox before the game was suspended in the top of the fourth inning due to inclement weather.
The two teams will resume the suspended game Wednesday before playing the series finale immediately after. The Red Sox were up 2-1 prior to the game being suspended, so Singer will be on the hook for the loss if Boston maintains its lead for the remainder of the contest. Singer tentatively lines up to make his next start Monday versus the Marlins in Cincinnati.

Singer (7-6) took the loss against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks with nine strikeouts over five innings.
Singer allowed runs in three separate innings but managed a season-high nine strikeouts in a losing effort. It was the first time in eight starts this year that the 28-year-old surrendered more than three earned runs, though he's issued at least three walks in six of those outings. The right-hander delivered his fifth quality start of the season on 96 pitches (56 strikes), and a six-run fifth inning by Cincinnati gave Singer all the run support he wound need. He's given up three runs or fewer in six straight outings, posting a 3.55 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 21:17 K:BB over 33 innings during that stretch. Singer gave up runs in the second and third innings before exiting in a 2-2 tie after just 77 pitches. According to Jeff Wallner of MLB.com, the 28-year-old was pulled after being struck on his throwing arm by a line drive in the fourth, though Singer downplayed the move as precautionary. It wasn't the most efficient outing by Singer, who needed 97 pitches to cover five innings while issuing at least three walks for the third time in his past four starts. The veteran right-hander hasn't fanned more than four in any of his last seven appearances, during which he owns a lackluster 5.45 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 21:17 K:BB over 36.1 innings. Things won't get much easier for Singer in his next scheduled start versus the Diamondbacks, who sport a .799 OPS against right-handed pitching for the season.

Reds' Brady Singer: Picks up sixth win
Singer (6-3) got the win Tuesday over the Royals, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three over seven innings.
The Royals picked up a pair of runs in the second inning against Singer but he otherwise shut down his former club while reaching seven innings for the first time since his season debut. None of the hits Singer allowed went for extra bases and it was his second consecutive outing not allowing a home run. However, Singer has not had more than four strikeouts in an outing since April 23 and has a 17:14 K:BB over his last six starts. He'll look to make it two wins in a row when the Brewers come to town to begin next week.

Reds' Brady Singer: Fights control in Wednesday's loss
Singer (5-3) took the loss Wednesday, giving up two runs on five hits and four walks over five innings as the Reds were downed 3-1 by the Pirates. He struck out three.
Cincinnati's hitters only managed four hits on the afternoon, giving Singer no margin for error, but the right-hander didn't help himself by throwing just 57 of 102 pitches for strikes. The four free passes were a season high, but he's issued multiple walks in four of his last five starts, posting a 6.29 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 14:13 K:BB over 24.1 innings during that stretch. Singer will try to get back on track in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week against Kansas City -- the team he spent the first five seasons of his career with before being traded for Jonathan India in November.

Reds' Brady Singer: Picks up fifth win
Singer (5-2) earned the win in Friday's victory over Cleveland, giving up three earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out four batters across five innings.
Cincinnati's offense gave Singer a 5-0 lead to work with after three innings Friday, and although he gave up a two-RBI single to Carlos Santana in the fourth and a solo homer to Bo Naylor in the fifth, the 28-year-old right-hander did enough to keep the Reds in front. With a 5.01 ERA and 1.31 WHIP through his first nine starts, Singer isn't quite the most reliable starter in the majors, but he'll at least have a favorable matchup during his next outing in Pittsburgh.

Reds' Brady Singer: Yields seven runs in no-decision
Singer did not factor into the decision against the Astros on Saturday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out one batter across 2.1 innings.
It took some time for Singer to take the mound Saturday after the Reds racked up 10 runs in the top of the first inning. However, that commanding lead was short lived as he proceeded to yield six runs in the third frame, highlighted by a Victor Caratini two-run homer that led to Singer being lifted for Lyon Richardson. It ended Singer's streak of six-inning outings at three, and his ERA ballooned from 3.66 to 4.97. He's slated to face the Guardians at home next weekend, when he'll look to get back in the win column.

Singer (4-2) took the loss Monday at Atlanta, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out two.
The Cincinnati right-hander generated just three whiffs in this 102-pitch outing, as he notched a season-low two Ks. Singer coughed up all four runs in the third inning, capped by a Matt Olson inside-the-park home run. Through 39.1 innings, Singer has pitched to a 3.66 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB. The 28-year-old is currently scheduled to make his next start at Houston this weekend.
