It's a bad Sunday to be one of the leading rushers in the NFL. First, C.J. Spiller went out with a bad-looking shoulder injury (the NFL's leading rusher through two weeks will miss the rest of the game) and now Reggie Bush, the league's second-leading rusher, has suffered what appears to be a leg injury.

The Dolphins running back hit a pile of Jets defenders late in the second quarter and was on the ground for a few minutes grabbing at his leg and knee.

Bush was able to jog off the field on his own power and headed back to into the locker room before the half ended. That seemed more precautionary than anything, as Bush was able to get additional attention from the trainers with 20-some seconds remaining on the clock before the half actually ended.

But here's the bad news: Per Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, Bush didn't appear to come back out with the team once halftime ended. Bush eventually appeared on the Dolphins sideline, being worked on by a trainer while wearing a helmet.

However, Daniel Thomas entered the game at running back for the Dolphins to begin the half with Miami tied up with the Jets at 10 points each following an opening-drive pick six by LaRon Landry on Ryan Tannehill.

It appears as if Bush will be able to return. Regardless, though, it's safe to expect that Thomas and Lamar Miller will receive additional carries in the second half.
