Bears linebacker Willie Young was left inactive in a Week 3 loss to the Seahawks.

Though he faced the stiff challenge of transitioning from a 4-3 defensive end to a 3-4 outside linebacker, while also working his way back from a torn Achilles' tendon, Young managed to earn a roster spot out of training camp. However, he still appears to be a clunky fit in the Bears' scheme, which has been reflected in his low snap counts in Weeks 1 and 2, in addition to the healthy scratch in Week 3.

After Jared Allen was dealt to the Panthers on Monday, Young could have an opportunity to draw back into the active ranks for Sunday's game against the Raiders. However, he still appears to be behind Pernell McPhee, Lamarr Houston and Sam Acho in the pecking order at outside linebacker.
