Cowboys' Joe Looney: Lifted from IR
The Cowboys activated Looney (knee) from injured reserve Saturday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Looney returned to practice Wednesday and will return to action after spending the minimum three-game stint on IR. He should start at center Sunday against the Eagles, although it's still unsettled whether he'll immediately return to his starting role or if Tyler Biadasz will retain the gig for one more week.

Cowboys' Joe Looney: Receives return designation
Looney (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.
The 30-year-old is returning to practice this week and could be activated for Sunday's game at Philadelphia since he's already spent the three-game minimum on injured reserve. However, Looney may need a bit more practice time before reaching game readiness, so a return in Week 9 seems like a safer bet.
