Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Raises activity level
Jackson (calf) was a limited participant during practice Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Jackson missed the team's Week 4 loss to the Cowboys and sat out practice Wednesday. His return in any capacity Thursday may have him on the path to returning Sunday against Seattle. His practice level Friday could bring some further clarity on his chances to do so.

Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Sitting out Wednesday's practice
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Jackson (calf) will not practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Jackson wasn't able to suit up Week 4 against the Giants on Thursday Night Football due to a calf issue, and even after getting a few days of extra rest he still isn't ready to practice. The veteran cornerback only has two more days to get back on the practice field prior to Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Cor'Dale Flott stands to continue playing an every-down role as long as Jackson remains sidelined.

Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Won't play Thursday night
Jackson (calf) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup with the Cowboys, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Jackson was held out of practice Wednesday after being estimated as a DNP on Monday, so it's no surprise that he won't be suiting up for Thursday night's divisional matchup with the Cowboys. Expect Cor'Dale Flott to see increased snaps in the Giants' secondary in Jackson's stead.

Giants' Adoree' Jackson: DNP on Monday's estimation
Jackson (calf) was listed as a non-participant in Monday's practice estimation, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Jackson sustained a calf injury during the Giants' Week 3 win over the Browns, and following Monday's practice estimation, it appears he could be at risk of missing time. The 2017 first-round pick will likely need to upgrade to a limited session either Tuesday or Wednesday in order to suit up Thursday night against the Cowboys.

Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Back in Big Apple
The Giants signed Jackson to a contract Friday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Per Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, it's reported to be a one-year deal. Jackson spent the previous three campaigns with the Giants, compiling 176 tackles, 23 pass defenses (two interceptions), two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a defensive TD in 37 regular-season games. Because fellow cornerback Cor'Dale Flott is considered week-to-week due to a quadriceps injury, there's a chance Jackson may have a heavy workload and may even start Week 1 against the Vikings on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Struggles in seventh NFL season
Jackson registered 63 tackles (49 solo) and eight pass defenses, including an interception that he returned for a touchdown, over 14 games during the 2023 season.
Though Jackson's tackle total was his highest since 2018, the veteran cornerback finished in the bottom third of the league at his position with a 43.9 PFF coverage grade. He did manage to score his first career touchdown on a pick-six Week 16 against the Eagles, but that personal highlight hardly made up for his deficiencies in coverage. Jackson has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career -- his 14 contests this season actually marked his highest total since 2018 -- and New York has a pair of promising young cornerbacks in Deonte Banks and Cor'Dale Flott. With that in mind, it wouldn't be surprising to see Jackson, whose contract includes a 2024 void year, to be with another organization next season.

Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Decent showing in loss
Jackson recorded seven tackles (five solo) and a forced fumble in Sunday's 26-25 loss versus the Rams.
Jackson's tackle total was his second highest of the season, but his performance in Week 17 was marred by an 80-yard catch and run he ceded to Puka Nacua in the middle of the third quarter. The Giants will play host to A.J. Brown and the Eagles in Week 18.

Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Practices in full
Jackson (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
The 28-year-old cornerback was limited Wednesday with an ankle injury that he likely picked up Christmas Day, but it seems as if he's already been able to move past the issue. Jackson has served as the Giants' top cornerback this year, and in his 12 appearances, he's tallied 49 total tackles, seven pass deflections and one pick-six.
