49ers' Aaron Banks: Won't play Sunday against Bills
Banks (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports.
Banks suffered a concussion during the 49ers' Week 12 loss to the Packers, and he'll be sidelined for Sunday's game after not practicing all week. His next chance to play will be Week 14 against the Bears on Sunday, Dec. 8, though he'll have to clear the league's five-step concussion protocols in order to suit up. Ben Bartch and Spencer Burford are candidates to start at right guard due to Banks' injury.

49ers' Aaron Banks: Concussed in Week 12 loss
Banks suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Packers, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
He'll now have to pass through the league's concussion protocol if he wants a chance to play next Sunday against Buffalo. Spencer Burford would presumably get the start against the Bills if Banks can't gain clearance over the next week.

Banks is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Jets due to a calf injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Spencer Burford has replaced Banks at left guard, per Wagoner. Banks has helped open holes for a 49ers running game with nearly 150 yards on the ground and two scores Monday. The 2021 second-round pick started 30 games for the 49ers over the past two seasons.

Banks broke his pinky finger in the middle of August and missed some practice and preseason reps as a result, but he'll be suiting up in Week 1. He'll be trying to slow down Javon Kinlaw and Quinnen Williams in San Francisco's season opener.

Banks broke his pinkie finger Thursday and had to undergo surgery, but head coach Kyle Shanahan says the hope is that he'll be ready for Week 1, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Banks' finger injury and surgery recovery will likely keep him out of San Francisco's final two preseason games in the hope that he'll be back for Week 1 against the Jets. Offensive guard Nick Zakelj worked at left guard in place of Banks on Friday and should continue to do so in the following weeks as Banks works his way back.
