Packers' Christian Watson: Stays limited Thursday
Watson (ankle) was limited at Thursday's practice.
Since sitting out Week 5 at the Rams due to a sprained left ankle, Watson has suited up the last two games, combining for five touches for 73 yards from scrimmage and one receiving TD. Most of that production occurred on a 44-yard scoring connection with QB Jordan Love in Week 6 against the Cardinals, but Watson has a favorable matchup on tap Sunday versus a Jaguars defense that has allowed the second-most YPT (8.7) to opposing wide receivers this season. Friday's injury report will unveil whether or not Watson goes into the weekend with a designation.

Packers' Christian Watson: Logs limited practice Wednesday
Watson (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Both Watson and fellow wideout Jayden Reed continue to tend to their respective ankle issues, but the former hasn't experienced much of a change in his workload. Having said that, Watson turned his two touches into five yards from scrimmage this past Sunday versus the Texans, so he'll be aiming for a stronger performance Sunday at Jacksonville, assuming he's active.

Watson had one reception for nine yards and one carry for minus-4 yards in Sunday's 24-22 victory over the Texans.
Watson was coming off his most productive game of the season, but quarterback Jordan Love focused elsewhere in Week 7, and Watson finished with just two targets and two touches. Inconsistency is a major issue for Watson's fantasy prospects, but he will have a plus matchup Week 8 with the Packers facing a Jaguars defense that ranks near the bottom of the league when it comes to receptions, yards and touchdowns ceded to opposing wideouts.

Packers' Christian Watson: No Week 7 injury designation
Watson (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Texans, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Both Watson and Jayden Reed (ankle) are good to go after three limited practices apiece, while Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) is listed as questionable after following the same practice routine. Watson posted a season-high 68 receiving yards thanks to a 44-yard touchdown catch in Green Bay's Week 6 win over the Cardinals, and he'll look to build off that strong outing against a Houston defense that has been more vulnerable through the air than on the ground.

Watson has cobbled together back-to-back capped sessions to begin Week 7 prep, which comes as no surprise considering he returned to action this past Sunday against the Cardinals after missing one contest when he initially was expected to be out multiple games due to a left ankle injury. Fellow WRs Jayden Reed (ankle) and Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) also have been limited this week, so Friday's practice report will be telling for who among the trio enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's showdown with the Texans.

Watson looked like his normal dynamic self this past Sunday against the Cardinals, reeling off 68 yards and one touchdown on his three catches (four targets). The output mostly was fueled by a 44-yard touchdown connection with quarterback Jordan Love, but it still was an encouraging performance for Watson after missing just one game due to a sprained left ankle. Fellow receivers Jayden Reed (ankle) and Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) also had caps on their practice reps Wednesday, so the situation will be one to monitor to get a sense of the trio's odds to suit up Sunday versus the Texans.

Packers' Christian Watson: Season-best outing in Week 6 win
Watson (ankle) caught three of four targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Cardinals.
The oft-injured Watson returned from a one-game absence to post his highest yardage total of the season, topping his Week 3 output by one yard. His 44-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter came one possession after Watson caught a drive-extending 14-yard pass on fourth-and-2. Green Bay's wide receivers combined for four touchdown catches in Sunday's win, with Jayden Reed scoring one and Romeo Doubs adding two. Watson and Doubs will likely continue playing complementary roles behind Reed against the Texans in Week 7, regardless of Dontayvion Wicks' (shoulder) availability.

Packers' Christian Watson: Returning to action Sunday
Watson (ankle) is listed as active Sunday against the Cardinals, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Initially slated to miss multiple games due to what was reported to be a high left-ankle sprain, Watson will miss only one contest as a result. Because he was limited in practice Wednesday through Friday, he may not be able to handle his typical workload, which was at least 54 percent of snaps in each of the first three weeks of the campaign. If he's not at full health, Watson likely will cede snaps to the likes of Dontayvion Wicks, Malik Heath and Bo Melton behind Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs.
