Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Tough sledding in Sunday's loss
Tracy carried the ball six times for 23 yards and caught all three of his targets for nine yards in Sunday's 28-3 loss to the Eagles.
The Giants' run game went nowhere, but Tracy still led the team in rushing yards, with Devin Singletary (six touches for 21 total yards) being even less productive in his return from a groin strain. It's impossible to draw any conclusions on the New York backfield situation given the nature of Sunday's rout, but at the very least Tracy appears to still be in line for a timeshare role. However, the rookie may not find much more room to run in Week 8 against a tough Steelers defense.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Set to share with Singletary
Coach Brian Daboll said Friday that Tracy will "get plenty of playing time" even though Devin Singletary (groin) is returning for Sunday's game against Philadelphia, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Tracy topped 100 total yards in back-to-back games in Singletary's absence, taking 35 carries for 179 yards (5.1 YPC) and a touchdown while catching seven of eight targets for 59 yards. Singletary doesn't have a Week 7 injury designation, but both he and Tracy make for risky fantasy plays given the possibility of a fairly even workload split. Daboll even said Eric Gray also will have a role, but it'll be surprising if Gray gets more than a few touches after taking a backseat to Tracy in Singletary's absence.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Takes advantage of start on SNF
Tracy rushed 17 times for 50 yards and a touchdown while bringing in all six of his targets for 57 receiving yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Bengals.
Tracy got to fill in as New York's top running back for the second consecutive week after Devin Singletary (groin) was ruled out just over 24 hours prior to Sunday night's kickoff. The 24-year-old Tracy was up to the task against Cincinnati, breaking the century mark in total yardage while scoring the first touchdown of his career. This comes on the heels of the rookie's 129-yard breakout performance against Seattle in Week 5. It sounds like Singletary may be close to returning to the field based on his near return Sunday, which would only hurt Tracy's skyrocketing fantasy value. Until that happens, fantasy managers should make sure Tracy is rostered ahead of next Sunday's tilt against the Eagles.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Primed for massive opportunity
Tracy is expected to see the lion's share of the snaps out of the backfield Sunday against the Bengals with Devin Singletary (groin) ruled out for Week 6.
The 2024 fifth-round pick has another big opportunity ahead of him after he shined in his first extended NFL action in the Giants' Week 5 win over the Seahawks. Though Eric Gray seemed to operate as the team's preferred option early in the Week 5 contest, his fumble on the opening drive opened the door for Tracy, who blasted through to the tune of 7.2 yards per carry on just 12 attempts. The 24-year-old is a bit slight (210 pounds) for his 5-foot-11 frame, and while he doesn't profile as a true three-down workhorse, there's reason to believe the converted collegiate wide receiver could be used more in passing situations as well. With Malik Nabers (concussion) out again, the Giants might be forced to get creative offensively, which would be a boon for Tracy's fantasy prospects.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Steps up with 129 rushing yards
Tracy rushed 18 times for 129 yards and caught one of two targets for one yard in Sunday's 29-20 win over the Seahawks.
Tracy ceded some early touches to Eric Gray, but after Gray had a disastrous fumble at the goal line on the opening drive, Tracy took over as the main man in a Giants backfield that was without Devin Singletary (groin). This was a surprisingly effective effort on the ground from Tracy considering the rookie fifth-round draft pick came into the game with only 29 yards on 12 rushing attempts (2.4 YPC) before galloping for 7.2 YPC in the Week 5 win. Tracy has likely earned a larger role for Week 6 against the Bengals and beyond, though it remains to be seen if he has done enough to unseat Singletary atop the running back depth chart.

Tracy is set to operate as the Giants' lead back in Sunday's Week 5 matchup against the Seahawks with Devin Singletary (groin) inactive for the contest, per Dan Salomone of the team's official site.
Tracy has been building up to his No. 1 role by taking first-team reps throughout the week, and the rookie fifth-round pick will now have a chance to log his most extensive workload as a pro yet. The matchup against a Seahawks defense that's allowed just 82.0 rushing yards per contest through its first two home games is daunting on paper; however, Tracy could make for a viable deeper-league and DFS tournament option based on the volume he should see with only second-year back Eric Gray and practice-squad call-up Dante Miller to compete with for carries.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Likely lead back against Seahawks
Tracy is in line to lead the Giants' backfield Sunday against the Seahawks, as Devin Singletary (groin) is listed as doubtful, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
If Singletary doesn't play, Eric Gray would likely mix in as well, but Tracy has 18 combined carries and targets through four games compared to Gray's five. Tracy has averaged just 2.4 yards per carry in his young career, but the rookie fifth-round pick out of Purdue could be an intriguing PPR dart throw, as he's a converted wide receiver who can contribute as a pass catcher out of the backfield as well as on the ground.

Tracy rushed four times for two yards and secured one catch for 19 yards in Thursday's 20-15 loss to the Cowboys.
Tracy saw his usage decrease slightly in Week 4, playing 15 offensive snaps against Dallas. The rookie made his most significant play in the third quarter, turning a short pass into a 19-yard reception. Tracy remains firmly behind Devin Singletary in New York's backfield, though he has distanced himself from Eric Gray to operate as the team's clear No. 2 option at running back.

Tracy rushed five times for 23 yards and added two catches (on two targets) for 17 yards in Sunday's 21-15 win against Cleveland.
Tracy's performance was highlighted by a 12-yard catch-and-run in the first quarter that helped set up New York's first touchdown. Overall, the rookie running back logged his most touches (seven) and highest total yardage (40) through three games this season. Veteran Devin Singletary posted a 16-65-1 line on the ground and a 4-43-0 line through the air Sunday and remains the Giants' lead back, but Tracy appears to be distancing himself from second-year RB Eric Gray for the backup role. Gray had just one touch Week 3 and played on only three of New York's offensive snaps to Tracy's 22.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Gets just one touch Week 2
Tracy rushed once for two yards and didn't receive any targets in Sunday's loss to Washington. He added one kick return for 28 yards.
Tracy's lone touch on offense came in the second quarter, when he notched a two-yard rush on a second-down play. While he did contribute in the return game, second-year back Eric Gray made more of an impact in that regard, returning five kickoffs for 128 yards. Tracy's lack of opportunities on offense Sunday didn't correlate with more work for Gray, who got zero touches. Instead, the game plan was a further indication that Devin Singletary, who tallied 95 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, may be used in a workhorse role similar to how Saquon Barkley was deployed in past seasons. Through two weeks, Tracy has just three carries and three targets to Singletary's 26 and six, respectively.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Works as No. 2 running back Week 1
Tracy carried twice for two yards and caught one of three targets for five yards in Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Vikings.
Devin Singletary led New York's backfield with 50 offensive snaps (70 percent of the team's total) in the loss, while Tracy logged 15 offensive snaps and Eric Gray tallied seven. Gray was slightly more effective than Tracy with six yards on two carries and nine yards on one reception, but there isn't much to glean from the pair's production given their limited touches. Based on the Week 1 snap counts, it appears Singletary could function in a workhorse role while Tracy and Gray, in that order, pick up leftovers behind him. However, more clarity could come when/if the Giants are involved in a competitive contest -- the team trailed throughout Sunday's opener, resulting in Daniel Jones putting up 42 pass attempts.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Avoids practice report
Tracy (ankle) wasn't listed on the Giants' practice report Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
During an Aug. 13 session, Tracy initially suffered what was believed to be a serious injury to his lower right leg, which spurred the Giants to encase it in an air cast, cart him off the field and transport him to the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. Eventually, the 2024 fifth-round selection was diagnosed with a low-ankle sprain, and within a week, he was back on the practice field. Now that he's back to 100 percent, Tracy will serve as the No. 2 back behind Devin Singletary to begin his rookie campaign.
