Bengals' Dax Hill: Fifth-year option picked up
Hill (knee) had his fifth-year option on his rookie contract picked up for $12.682 million by the Bengals on Tuesday, Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Hill was set to enter the final year of his contract with Cincinnati, but he'll now stick around through the 2026 campaign. The cornerback was limited to just five contests in 2024, suffering a torn ACL in his right knee in Week 5 versus the Ravens. Hill racked up 25 total tackles (20 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding two passes defensed before getting hurt. He'll now compete with DJ Turner (collarbone) for the No. 2 cornerback spot in the Bengals' secondary alongside Cam Taylor-Britt in 2025.

Bengals' Dax Hill: Sent to injured reserve
The Bengals placed Hill (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Hill suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Ravens. With Hill done for the year, cornerback duties will fall on Cam Taylor-Britt and DJ Turner on the outside, with Mike Hilton (knee) in the slot once healthy. Josh Newton is next up on the depth chart. With his 2024 campaign over, Hill will have an eye toward rehabbing for 2025, in what shapes up as a contract year for the 2022 first-round pick.

Bengals' Dax Hill: Torn ACL confirmed
Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed Monday that Hill tore his ACL in Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Hill was feared to have sustained a torn ACL after exiting early in the Bengals' Week 5 loss, and Taylor's comments Monday confirmed those fears. The 2022 first-round pick recorded 25 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and defended two passes across five games before sustaining this season-ending injury. Expect DJ Turner to start opposite Cam Taylor-Britt in the Bengals' secondary while Hill recovers from his torn ACL.

Bengals' Dax Hill: Team fears torn ACL
Hill is believed to have sustained a torn ACL in his right knee during Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Hill was knocked out of the Week 5 tilt early due to a knee injury which may turn out to be season-ending. He was on pace for his second consecutive 100-tackle season going into Sunday's game, so Hill's potential absence for the remainder of the campaign would be a major blow to the Cincinnati secondary. DJ Turner is likely to enter the starting lineup as a replacement for Hill at the outside corner spot opposite Cam Taylor-Britt.

Bengals' Dax Hill: Done for day with knee injury
Hill suffered a knee injury in Sunday's game against Baltimore and will not return.
Hill was immediately ruled out, suggesting the injury could be serious. The Bengals were already missing starting nickel CB Mike Hilton (knee), so Hill was filling in there. Cincinnati is now expected to turn to Jalen Davis or Josh Newton.

Bengals' Dax Hill: Productive despite loss
Hill registered eight tackles (seven solo), including 1.0 sacks, during the Bengals' 16-10 loss versus the Patriots on Sunday.
Hill is coming off the best season of his career and had a strong performance in the first game of the new campaign Sunday. He not only finished second on the team in tackles, but he also recorded the Bengals' only sack.
