  • Dustin Colquitt: Let go by Falcons

Colquitt was waived by the Falcons on Monday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Colquitt appeared in six games for Atlanta during the 2021 campaign, but he missed the last two contests after he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. He'll now be let go by the Falcons since Thomas Morstead has punted well in Colquitt's absence.

  • Falcons' Dustin Colquitt: Placed on reserve/COVID-19 list

The Falcons placed Colquitt (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.

Colquitt is now just the second Falcons player to land on the team's current reserve/COVID-19 list alongside offensive guard Josh Andrews. • Falcons' Dustin Colquitt: Promoted by Atlanta

The Falcons signed Colquitt to their 53-man roster from their practice squad Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Colquitt will serve as an emergency punter after the Falcons starting punter, Cameron Nizialek, picked up a hamstring injury during Week 4. Younghoe Koo, Atlanta's placekicker, replaced Nizialek during Sunday's game and had two punts for 70 yards.

  • Dustin Colquitt: Joins Chiefs' practice squad

Colquitt signed with the Chiefs' practice squad Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

After punting for Kansas City over the past 15 seasons and culminating his tenure by helping to capture a Lombardi Trophy last February, Colquitt has followed a less direct path in 2020. The 38-year-old was cut by the Steelers in October and subsequently went over two months before getting another opportunity Week 16 with the Jaguars. He'll now join Kansas City in a reserve capacity, as the Chiefs eye a second consecutive Super Bowl run.
