Giroux got the night off Tuesday against Chicago as the Senators clinched their spot in the playoffs. Giroux has 15 goals and 35 assists in 80 games this season. He will play on the top line, alongside Brady Tkachuk and Tim Stutzle, and should see time on the first power play.

Giroux has appeared in all 80 regular-season games for the Senators this year, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to see the 37-year-old veteran getting the night off. Giroux's helper was on Tim Stutzle's game-winning goal in the extra period. Sunday's assist helped bring Giroux's point total to 50 with 35 assists and 15 goals in 80 appearances this season.
