Rangers' Artemi Panarin: Missing from practice Thursday
Panarin (lower body) was not on the ice Thursday and is considered day-to-day, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Panarin still has time to get back to 100 percent before the season opener against the Penguins on Oct. 9. The veteran winger is coming off a career year in which he set personal bests in goals (49), points (120) and power-play points (44). While this was the first time Panarin reached the 40-goal threshold, he should be capable of doing so again in 2024-25.

Rangers' Artemi Panarin: Sitting out Thursday
Panarin (lower body) will not be in action against Boston on Thursday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Panarin did skate Thursday, which is a good sign that he will still be ready for the start of the season against Pittsburgh on Oct. 9. In 82 regular-season contests last year, the 32-year-old winger set career highs in goals (49), points (120) and shots (303). While it would be fair to expect a little regression toward the mean for Panarin this year, he should still be capable of topping both the 40-goal and 100-point thresholds.

Panarin left Tuesday's preseason game versus the Islanders with a lower-body injury and is still under evaluation, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Panarin exited the contest in the third period. The 32-year-old winger is a huge part of the Rangers' lineup, so expect the team to take the utmost caution with his health over the rest of the preseason slate. The Rangers' next contest is Thursday versus the Bruins.

Rangers' Artemi Panarin: Records two helpers in Game 4
Panarin registered a pair of assists, including one with the man advantage, in Game 4 against the Panthers on Tuesday.
Despite his two-point effort, Panarin remains mired in a seven-game goal drought during which he has recorded just 14 shots. Still, the 32-year-old winger continues to find ways to produce, though his effort Tuesday wasn't enough to help secure a victory for New York. If the Rangers are going to make the Stanley Cup Finals, they will likely need Panarin to start finding the back of the net.

Through five playoff contests, Panarin has three goals, one assist and 15 shots on net.
