Rangers' Brett Berard: Set to play versus Hawks
Berard (upper body) is poised to return to the lineup versus Chicago on Monday, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.
Berard will be back in action for the first time since Nov. 30 versus the Canadiens, a stretch of three games on the shelf due to his upper-body issue. In his limited NHL outings this year (four games), the 22-year-old winger has logged 12:33 of ice time per game while notching one goal, one assist and nine shots. Look for Berard to slot into a bottom-six role with his injury concern behind him -- though he's far from a lock to keep that spot ahead of both Jimmy Vesey and Jonny Brodzinski.

Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Facing Chicago
Shesterkin (personal) will patrol the home crease against the Blackhawks on Monday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Shesterkin missed Sunday's 7-5 loss to Seattle to be with his wife for the birth of their child. The 28-year-old Shesterkin has a 9-9-1 record with one shutout, a 2.99 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 19 appearances this season. Chicago sits 31st in the league with 2.41 goals per game in 2024-25.

Rangers' Dylan Garand: Returned to AHL
Garand was assigned to AHL Hartford on Monday.
Garand was the backup goalie behind Jonathan Quick in Sunday's 7-5 loss to Seattle. The 22-year-old Garand's return to the minors likely means that Igor Shesterkin (personal) will be available for Monday's home game versus Chicago.

Rangers' Will Cuylle: Logs helper Sunday
Cuylle posted an assist in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken.
Cuylle followed a four-game point streak with a pair of scoreless efforts before bouncing back Sunday. The 22-year-old winger continues to impress in a third-line role, adding a blend of depth scoring and ultra-physical play. Cuylle is at nine goals, 12 helpers, 48 shots on net, 100 hits and a plus-10 rating over 26 appearances.

Rangers' Kaapo Kakko: Hands out helper Sunday
Kakko logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken.
Kakko has contributed three points over his last nine games. The 23-year-old winger set up a Filip Chytil tally in the second period of Sunday's loss. Kakko has 14 points, 41 shots on net, 17 hits, 14 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 26 appearances, though he's slowed down after starting the season hot. Despite the drop in production, he remains firmly in a third-line role.

Rangers' Reilly Smith: Goals in consecutive games
Smith scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken.
Smith has goals in back-to-back contests for the first time this season. The veteran winger is up to five tallies, 14 points, 40 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over 25 appearances. Smith is seeing regular middle-six minutes but has lost his power-play role in recent games, limiting his appeal in standard fantasy formats.

Rangers' Alexis Lafreniere: Scores in Sunday's loss
Lafreniere scored a goal on four shots, added two hits and went minus-2 in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken.
Lafreniere snapped a seven-game goal drought with his third-period tally. During that span, he collected four assists to remain somewhat productive. The winger is up to nine goals, 11 helpers, 57 shots on net, 31 hits and a minus-11 rating while seeing steady top-six usage this season.

Rangers' Filip Chytil: Snaps nine-game goal drought
Chytil scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken.
Chytil scored his fifth goal of the season at 2:50 of the second period to give New York a 2-1 lead. It was the 25-year-old's first marker since Oct. 29. Chytil has a lengthy injury history, and he's yet to play a full 82-game season in his eight-year NHL career. That makes Chytil a risky option to rely on for consistent production, especially when considering his third-line role. The 6-foot-2 center has garnered five goals, five assists and a plus-9 rating through 19 appearances.

Rangers' Adam Fox: Two apples Sunday
Fox dished two helpers Sunday in a 7-5 loss to Seattle.
Fox set up Vincent Trocheck's power-play marker in the middle frame, and he added a secondary helper on K'Andre Miller's second goal of the season in the third period. Fox added two shots, two takeaways and a minus-2 rating in a team-high 25:37 of ice time. The 26-year-old defenseman has yet to go three consecutive games without a point this season, but he hasn't found the back of the net through 26 games. Fox has accounted for 22 helpers (10 on the power play), 14 PIM, 40 shots on goal and a plus-3 rating.

Rangers' Artemi Panarin: Extends point streak in loss
Panarin distributed two assists in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken.
Panarin generated a pair of even-strength helpers in the third period of Sunday's defeat. The Russian winger is riding a four-game point streak consisting of three goals and five assists, and three of those outings have been multi-point performances. Panarin is one of the most consistent forwards in fantasy, as he hasn't produced at less than a point-per-game pace since the 2016-17 season with Chicago. The right-shot winger is leading New York in scoring by a margin of 12 points, and he's up to 15 goals and 34 points through 26 appearances.

Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Productive effort in defeat
Trocheck contributed a goal and an assist Sunday in a 7-5 loss to the Kraken.
Trocheck scored his second power-play marker of the season in the second period, and he added a helper on Alexis Lafreniere's ninth goal of the season in the final frame. Trocheck has racked up two goals and five points over his last two games, and he's gotten on the scoresheet in four of the last five games after snapping a six-game scoring drought. The right-shot center didn't record an assist across 14 games in November, but he appears to have turned the corner in that regard with his dynamic start to December. Trocheck has collected eight goals and nine assists through 26 appearances.

Rangers' K'Andre Miller: One of each in defeat
Miller delivered a goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-5 loss to Seattle.
Miller snapped a seven-game point drought by recording his first multi-point outing of the campaign Sunday. The left-shot blueliner registered the primary helper on Reilly Smith's tally to open the scoring in the first period, and he added an even-strength goal to cut Seattle's lead to 6-4 in the final frame. The 24-year-old Miller has chipped in two goals and four assists through 26 games. All six of Miller's points have come at even strength, as he receives minimal usage on the power play.

Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Rough outing in defeat
Quick conceded six goals on 21 shots in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken. The seventh goal was an empty-netter.
After starting the campaign with a 4-0-0 record in his first five appearances, Quick has lost two of his last three outings. The veteran netminder has conceded 15 goals during that stretch -- the 38-year-old allowed just four goals over his first five contests of the season. If Igor Shesterkin (personal) is not available for Monday's game against the Blackhawks, Quick could have the chance to rebound in the second half of a back-to-back. Dylan Garand, who was recalled from AHL Hartford on Sunday, might be an option for Monday's game as well.

Quick will protect the home net against Seattle on Sunday, according to Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
Quick has a 5-1-0 record with two shutouts, a 2.03 GAA and a .936 save percentage across seven appearances this season. Dylan Garand will be the backup netminder for Sunday's matchup because Igor Shesterkin (personal) is unavailable. Seattle sits 19th in the league with 2.89 goals per game in 2024-25.

Rangers' Connor Mackey: Brought up from AHL
Mackey was summoned from AHL Hartford on Sunday.
Mackey has two goals, four assists and 29 PIM across 22 minor-league outings this season. He will provide the Rangers with a seventh defender ahead of Sunday's game versus Seattle, but he likely won't be in the lineup.

Rangers' Dylan Garand: Summoned from minors
Garand was recalled from AHL Hartford on Sunday.
Igor Shesterkin (personal) and his wife are expecting the birth of their child, so Garand will probably be Jonathan Quick's backup in Sunday's home game versus Seattle. The 22-year-old Garand has a 7-2-2 record with a 2.42 GAA and a .917 save percentage in 11 AHL appearances this campaign.
