Rangers' Alexis Lafreniere: Provides pair of helpers
Lafreniere notched two assists and two shots on goal in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Flyers.
Lafreniere had a hand in both of Artemi Panarin's goals in the contest. The 24-year-old Lafreniere is up to two goals and six helpers over seven outings in January. For the season, he's contributed 28 points (five on the power play), 93 shots on net, 65 hits, 33 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating while mainly playing in a top-six role through 49 games.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Two more helpers Saturday
Miller notched two assists, two shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Flyers.
This was Miller's second two-assist effort in a row. He has a goal and five helpers over five games since he returned from an upper-body injury. The 32-year-old forward is now at 28 points (11 goals, 17 helpers), 88 shots on net, 84 hits and a minus-16 rating over 40 appearances in a top-six role this season.

Trocheck registered two assists, three shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Flyers.
Trocheck hasn't scored in four games, picking up three assists with a minus-8 rating in that span. The 32-year-old is still firmly in a top-six role, where he's been plenty productive when healthy this season. He's up to 29 points (eight on the power play) with 61 shots on net, 115 hits, 29 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a minus-16 rating over 35 appearances.

Rangers' Spencer Martin: Wins first start of season
Martin made 25 saves in a 6-3 win over the Flyers on Saturday.
It was Martin's first start of the season. He has appeared in relief in two other games. Jonathan Quick has really scuffled lately, and Igor Shesterkin (lower body) is on the injured reserve list. The Rangers are retooling, according to president and general manager Chris Drury, and they can use every ounce of strong netminding they can get. It's a tough spot to be in, and Martin will likely head back to the minors when Shesterkin returns, but in the short term, the team may reward Martin with another start because of the win. The Rangers have to start somewhere. They're 2-6-2 in the last 10, and they need the hottest hand in net.

Rangers' Brennan Othmann: First NHL goal in win
Othmann scored his first NHL goal Saturday in a 6-3 win over the Flyers.
Othmann finished a 3-on-1 rush with a shot from the right side. It took him 34 NHL games in his third season to get his first goal. Othmann has been slow to develop and has been used sparingly at the NHL level. He brings speed, tenacity and skill, and he was once considered one of the top snipers of his draft class. The Rangers have a long history of failing to develop their young players, but this could be Othmann's time. President and general manager Chris Drury has made it clear that the Rangers are in retooling mode, which means they are focusing on core players while trading some who have been part of past successes. That may give Othmann a bigger role if he can light a fire under his game.

Rangers' Artemi Panarin: Nine-game, 16-point scoring streak
Panarin had two goals and an assist in a 6-3 win over Philadelphia on Saturday.
He played in his 800th NHL game, including his 478th with the Rangers. Panarin's assist on Mika Zibanejad's second goal was his 400th with the Rangers. He has 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) during a nine-game point streak. Overall, Panarin has 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists) and 147 shots on net in 48 games this season. He has one goal and 15 assists on the power play. Panarin sits in a tie with Nick Suzuki of Montreal for 14th in league scoring.

Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Records drop like flies
Zibanejad had a hat trick in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Flyers.
He set all sorts of records Saturday. It was Zibanejad's 10th career hat trick and his ninth with the Rangers, tying Bill Cook for the franchise record. One of his goals came on the power play, which brought Zibanejad up to 117 career regular-season goals with the man advantage as a member of the Rangers. Zibanejad is now ahead of Camille Henry and Chris Kreider for the most in team history. Zibanejad also has 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) during an eight-game point streak.

Rangers' Connor Mackey: Returns to minors
Mackey was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Saturday.
Mackey was a healthy scratch for Saturday's 6-3 win over Philadelphia after being recalled from the minors Friday. He still hasn't played yet in the NHL this season, but he has two goals, seven points and 54 PIM in 32 outings with Hartford in 2025-26.

After two relief appearances in the last three games, Martin will make his first NHL start of the season. He has allowed five goals on 26 shots in his previous two outings this campaign. During Igor Shesterkin's (lower body) absence, Jonathan Quick has struggled while filling in as the team's No. 1 netminder. Philadelphia ranks 22nd in the league with 2.89 goals per game this season.

Chmelar has six points over his last four games. He's up to six goals and 19 points through 30 appearances this season, putting him 10 points shy of matching his 29-point total in 71 regular-season contests a year ago. Chmelar has logged six NHL games this season but has yet to earn his first point for the Rangers.

Soucy will not join the Rangers for the start of their four-game road trip for personal reasons, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports Friday.
Soucy is expected to link up with the team at some point, but he won't be an option versus the Flyers on Saturday before the Rangers head west for a California swing. In order to bolster its blue line options, the club recalled Connor Mackey from AHL Hartford, though he is unlikely to get into the lineup ahead of Urho Vaakanainen.
