Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Hits 20-goal mark with game-winner
Laine scored a goal in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Predators.
Laine is a 20-goal scorer for the seventh time in his career, with the last three instances coming in seasons heavily impacted by injuries. This was a rare even-strength tally for the winger -- 15 of his goals have been on the power play this season. He's up to 33 points, 106 shots on net and a minus-12 rating across 47 appearances.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Nets power-play goal
Laine scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Panthers.
Laine's tally with a man advantage was the opening goal of the game and would be the first of two power-play goals the Canadiens scored Sunday. The 26-year-old winger is up to 19 goals, 32 points and 100 shots on net in 43 appearances this season. Laine continues to prove his value for Montreal as a power-play threat this season, which is where he's earned 19 of his points. He has five goals and eight points in his last nine contests since his return from a brief illness. Laine should challenge for the 40-point mark by the end of the regular season and is within striking distance of posting his sixth 25-goal campaign in his nine-year NHL career. The winger has excellent value in all formats while Montreal looks to hold onto the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Tickles twine in loss
Laine scored a goal on five shots in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Flyers.
This was Laine's first even-strength goal since Feb. 25 versus the Hurricanes. The 26-year-old has been superb at finding the net this season, racking up 18 goals on 98 shots, good for an 18.4 shooting percentage. He's added 13 assists, 26 blocked shots, 22 hits and a minus-12 rating through 41 appearances. He's scored 14 of his 18 goals on the power play.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Posts multi-point effort
Laine scored a power-play goal, dished an assist and tallied four shots on net in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders.
Laine helped his newest linemate Joshua Roy score his first goal of the season before finding the back of the net on a third-period power play. The 26-year-old Laine has been effective in limited action this season with 17 goals, 12 assists and 87 shots on net across 38 appearances. The right-shot winger has a good amount of momentum heading into the fantasy playoffs with five points in his last four games and 11 in his last 10. Laine should finish the campaign shy of a point-per-game pace but has excellent fantasy value in all formats.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Strikes on power play again
Laine scored a power-play goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Panthers.
Laine has two goals and an assist over his last two outings after missing two games due to an illness. The 26-year-old winger continues to be the finisher on the Canadiens' top power-play unit -- he's netted 13 of his 16 goals with the man advantage. He's up to 27 points, 82 shots on net and a minus-10 rating through 36 appearances. Few players are as efficient with their shot as Laine, and while his overall ice time has fluctuated wildly this year, his scoring talent makes him a strong fantasy option.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Supplies two points in return
Laine scored a power-play goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.
Laine got the Canadiens on the board at 7:11 of the second period, and he set up an Alex Newhook tally to tie the game at 2-2 just 4:10 later. This came after a two-game absence due to an illness for Laine, who was limited to 10:08 of ice time in this contest. The winger ended a four-game goal drought and now has 15 tallies, 26 points (16 on the power play), 80 shots on net and a minus-10 rating over 35 appearances. His recent usage looks like head coach Martin St. Louis considers Laine a power-play specialist, and while the winger is productive for now, his offense could turn volatile if he doesn't get an uptick in playing time.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Back in action
Laine (illness) will suit up Wednesday versus the Kraken.
Laine missed two games due to the illness, but he'll slot back in for Joel Armia (upper body) in Wednesday's contest. Prior to his absence, Laine had gone two outings without a point and four games without a goal. He should be expected to see some power-play time, but his ice time prior to the illness was trending down.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Not playing Tuesday
Laine (illness) won't play against Vancouver on Tuesday, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.
Laine will miss his second straight game but could be an option for Wednesday's matchup against Seattle. He has produced 14 goals, 24 points, 79 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and 17 hits through 34 appearances this season.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Won't play Saturday
Laine (illness) won't play Saturday versus the Flames, Arpon Basu of The Athletic reports.
Laine missed Friday's practice due to flu-like symptoms, and now he'll be forced to miss at least one game. Michael Pezzetta (lower body) will replace Laine in Saturday's lineup, while Joel Armia could see more minutes. Laine's next chance to play comes in the first half of a back-to-back when the Canadiens visit the Canucks on Tuesday.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Not practicing Friday
Laine didn't participate in Friday's practice session due to an illness.
Laine is dealing with some flu-like symptoms, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Saturday's matchup against the Flames. The 26-year-old has been productive recently, recording two goals, four assists, three blocked shots and two hits over his last six appearances. If both Laine and Michael Pezzetta (lower body) are unavailable Saturday, the Canadiens may need to call up an additional forward ahead of the game in Calgary.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Three-point effort in win
Laine scored an even-strength goal and added two power-play assists in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Hurricanes.
After tipping home an Alexandre Carrier point shot late in the first period, Laine helped set up tallies by Nick Suzuki in the second and Lane Hutson in the third. It was Laine's first multi-point performance since Jan. 21, and after being held off the scoresheet completely in the eight games prior to the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, the 26-year-old winger has bounced back with two goals and four points in two contests since the Habs' schedule resumed.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Back in goal column
Laine scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two hits and logged two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
Laine had gone 10 games without a goal, but he snapped that drought with a tally late in the first period. He was also on an eight-game point skid, though he found some offense with a two-assist outing versus Sweden during the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 26-year-old winger has scored 11 of his 13 goals on the power play this season and is now at 19 points, 66 shots on net and a minus-11 rating through 29 appearances.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Propels Finland to win at 4 Nations
Laine had two assists in Finland's 4-3 overtime win Saturday over Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off in Montreal.
Laine earned the game's second star for his effort. One assist came at even strength, and the other came on the power play. He also had three hits. Laine came into the tournament on an eight-game point slump and a 10-game goal drought. With any luck, this game and tournament will light a fire under the somewhat one-dimensional sniper when he returns to NHL games.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Streak reaches four games
Laine had an assist and two shots on net in Thursday's 4-2 loss to Detroit.
Laine assisted on Kaiden Guhle's second-period goal that closed Detroit's lead to 4-2. It was the fourth consecutive game on the scoresheet for Laine, who has two goals and four assists during that stretch. He's appeared in just 20 games for Montreal this season, but Laine has been prolific with 12 goals (nine on the power play) and six assists when healthy.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Registers two helpers
Laine picked up a pair of assists in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Tampa Bay.
Laine continues to roll since his four-game absence to start January, tallying four goals and three assists, including three power-play points, over his previous six outings. While injuries have limited his season-long productivity -- he almost certainly won't get to the 50-point threshold -- Laine is at nearly a point-per-game pace and should offer top-end fantasy upside the rest of the way.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Nets game-winner in overtime
Laine scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Rangers.
Laine made no mistake on a feed to the slot from Kaiden Guhle, giving the Canadiens their only lead of the game at 3:20 of overtime. This was Laine's fourth goal and fifth point over five contests since he returned from an illness. The star winger has been an excellent finisher in his first season in Montreal, potting 12 goals and adding three assists with 49 shots on net and a minus-2 rating through 18 appearances.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Tallies on power play
Laine scored a power-play goal on two shots and assisted on an even-strength tally in Saturday's 7-3 loss to Toronto.
Laine, who scored his 11th of the season, lit the lamp for the 10th time while Montreal was on the power play. It seems like all 10 have come from the same spot in the same manner -- one-timers from the left faceoff circle. He has points in three of four games since returning from an illness.

Canadiens' Patrik Laine: Finds twine again
Laine scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Utah.
Laine's goal was his 10th of the season and his first to come at even strength -- the first nine were all on the power play. The 26-year-old winger is as dialed in as ever with 12 points through 15 appearances. He's added 43 shots on net and a minus-2 rating. His 23.3 shooting percentage will likely dip, but Laine has an elite shot and isn't afraid to pump pucks toward the net in high volumes, so his production should be fine.
