Sanderson notched an assist, three shots on goal, four blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Stars.

Sanderson has earned three helpers over his last four games. This was his first point at even strength since Dec. 21 versus the Canucks, when he had a goal and two assists. The defenseman continues to play a massive role for the Senators, racking up two goals, 22 assists, 87 shots on net, 85 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating over 42 outings this season.

The 22-year-old defenseman is up to 23 points (15 on the power play), 84 shots on net, 81 blocked shots, 25 hits and a minus-16 rating over 41 appearances. He's on track to surpass his career-best total of 38 points from last season, but he's experiencing steady progression rather than a major breakout.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Manages power-play assist

Sanderson logged a power-play assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Wild.

Sanderson has a goal and six helpers over his last nine outings, a span in which he's also gone plus-2. The 22-year-old defenseman struggled in his own zone and at even strength earlier in the year, but his play has come around over time. For the season, he has 21 points (13 on the power play), 76 shots on net, 71 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 36 appearances, but he's trending in the right direction.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Racks up three points in OT win

Sanderson scored the game-winning goal, added two assists, fired three shots on net and blocked three shots in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Canucks.

Sanderson earned his first multi-point effort since Nov. 25 versus the Flames. He assisted on second-period goals by Shane Pinto and Josh Norris, with the latter's tally being shorthanded. Sanderson then put the Canucks away with a goal 13 seconds into overtime. The 22-year-old defenseman has six points over his last six outings and a total of two goals, 18 assists, 69 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating through 33 contests. He's produced 12 power-play points and two shorthanded assists, but he's got enough talent to turn things around at even strength.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Provides helper in overtime win

Sanderson notched an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flames.

The 22-year-old defenseman is up to a goal, 16 assists, 66 shots on net, 64 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 32 appearances this season. This was just his fourth even-strength point of the campaign -- he has 12 on the power play and one shorthanded assist on his ledger.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Adds power-play assist

Sanderson notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.

Sanderson ended a six-game point drought with the helper. Prior to that slump, he racked up four assists over a three-game span. The defenseman has contributed 15 points (12 on the power play), 57 shots on net, 53 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating through 28 appearances. He's on pace to top the 40-point mark for the first time in his career, but that scoring rate could be endangered if the Senators' power play slumps at any stage of the season.

Sanderson has four helpers over his last three contests. He assisted on second-period tallies by Drake Batherson and Cole Reinhardt in this game. It's good to see Sanderson get his offense on track again after opening November with just two helpers over nine outings. Overall, the blueliner has a goal, 13 assists, 44 shots on net, 45 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating. He's earned 11 of his 14 points with the man advantage.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Collects 10th assist

Sanderson notched an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights.

Sanderson has 10 assists this season, but just three of them have come over 10 outings in November. The 22-year-old defenseman has 11 points (nine on the power play), 38 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 19 appearances. He's still productive enough to be played in fantasy, but it's fair to be concerned with his consistency and power-play reliance.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Mixed results in loss

Sanderson produced a power-play assist, four blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-3 rating in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.

Sanderson didn't have his best game defensively, but he was able to salvage it with the helper and blocks. The 22-year-old blueliner has been limited to just two helpers over his last eight games while taking a minus rating five times in that span. He's at nine points (eight on the power play) with 24 shots on net, 32 blocked shots, 11 hits and a minus-8 rating over 13 outings this season. It's not an ideal start to the year, but Sanderson has enough upside for fantasy managers to take a patient approach as he sorts through his struggles in the defensive zone.

Sanderson notched an assist in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Avalanche.

And he has points in all but one of the Sens' five games so far. In the 2023-24 regular season, Sanderson delivered 38 points in 79 appearances. The predicted ascendance for the 22-year-old defender is upon us.

Sanderson scored a goal on two shots and added an assist, both on the power play, in Monday's 8-7 overtime win over the Kings.

The 22-year-old blueliner has added six shots on net, 12 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through three contests. He could top the 40-point mark for the first time in his career in 2024-25.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Produces two points in overtime win

Sanderson registered a goal and an assist in a 2-1 overtime win over the Penguins on Tuesday.

It was a goaltending duel between Joonas Korpisalo and Tristan Jarry until Sanderson broke the goose egg halfway through the third period. He provided a secondary assist in overtime to help snap a seven-game losing skid for Ottawa. The 2020 first-round draft pick finished with four shots and a plus-2 rating in 23:02 of ice time to go along with his two points. Sanderson is now on a modest three-game point streak, scoring one goal and three assists over that span. The 21-year old defenseman may eventually be a star but right now he is only averaging half-a-point per game on the season.
