Capitals' Logan Thompson: Heads to Capital Hill in trade
Thompson has been traded to Washington from Las Vegas in exchange for two draft picks, reports Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Washington's 2024 third-round pick and a 2025 third-rounder head to Vegas. Gasps of horror came from fans at the 2024 Entry Draft when the deal was announced. But for Thompson, the move catapults him into, at minimum, a platoon with Charlie Lindgren. The former will be the Caps 'tender of the future.

Thompson stopped 28 of 31 shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Stars in Game 4. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Thompson has now lost back-to-back starts, though it's hardly his fault after putting in solid efforts. The 27-year-old has given up 10 goals on 127 shots through four playoff contests.
