    Ostlund has three goals and seven assists in his last 10 AHL games.

    Ostlund is starting to heat up in his first full professional season in North America after coming over from Sweden at the end of their 2023-24 campaign. He played two regular-season games with Rochester last year, picking up an assist. He started the season with a goal in six games before suffering a hand injury in Cleveland on Oct. 26 that caused him to miss eight weeks. Ostlund, who was selected 16th overall in 2022, has four goals and eight assists in 24 games with the Amerks in 2024-25.

  • Sabres' Noah Ostlund: Headed for AHL

    Ostlund was reassigned to AHL Rochester on Wednesday.

    Ostlund will make the move to North America for the first time having finished his season with Swedish club Vaxjo, for which he generated 12 goals and 11 helpers in 38 contests. Selected by the Sabres with the 16th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, the 20-year-old center may spend some time marinating in the minors before being in the mix for an NHL roster spot.

    Ostlund was loaned by Buffalo to the Swedish league's Vaxjo on Wednesday.

    Ostlund had eight goals and 26 points in 37 contests in 2022-23 with Djurgardens of HockeyAllsvenskan, which is Sweden's second-tier professional league. Buffalo selected him with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.

  • Sabres' Noah Ostlund: Set to compete at World Juniors

    Ostlund was reassigned by the Sabres to the Swedish national team Monday for the 2023 World Junior Championship.

    Ostlund -- who was selected by the Sabres with the 16th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft -- has been playing for his youth team Djurgardens IF over in Sweden. In 19 contests, the young center has notched two goals, nine assists and four PIM. If he continues to produce overseas, Ostlund could be in contention for a spot on the Opening Night roster for the 2022-23 campaign.
