Angels' Luis Rengifo: Moved to 60-day IL
The Angels transferred Rengifo (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Saturday.
The transaction is merely for procedural purposes, as Rengifo underwent season-ending surgery on his right wrist Aug. 6. His move to the 60-day IL opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Jose Cisnero (shoulder), who was activated from the 60-day injured list. Rengifo is expected to be ready for the start of spring training in 2025.

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Out for season
Rengifo underwent season-ending surgery on his wrist Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Rengifo landed on the injured list Saturday due to right wrist inflammation -- the second time this season his wrist has caused him to spend time on the IL. The timing of his procedure will put an early end to his 2024 campaign, but he is expected to be ready for the start of spring training next year. He'll finish with a .300/.347/.417 slash line with six homers, 30 RBI and 24 steals across 78 games.

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Hits 10-day IL
The Angeles placed Rengifo on the 10-day injured list Saturday with right wrist inflammation.
Rengifo had his right wrist injury flare up in Friday's loss to the Mets and he'll now be forced to miss at least the next week. In a corresponding move, the Angels called up infielder Charles Leblanc from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Rengifo was removed from Friday's 5-1 loss early with right wrist irritation and he'll be forced to sit out Saturday. Brandon Drury will slide over to third base while Michael Stefanic enters the lineup at second base and bats ninth against New York.

Rengifo was removed from Friday's game against the Mets due to wrist irritation.
Rengifo returned to the starting lineup Friday after missing Thursday's contest due to a flareup of his right wrist injury. He didn't seem very comfortable at the plate, however, and he struck out during both of his at-bats. Given his recent history with wrist problems, the Angels may consider placing him back on the injured list.

Rengifo (wrist) will start at third base and bat second Friday against the Mets, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Rengifo hurt his wrist during a swing Wednesday and had to sit out Thursday's contest as a result, but the issue seems to have subsided ahead of Friday's game. The 27-year-old has gone 6-for-30 with five RBI and five runs scored in eight games since returning from the injured list July 23.

Rengifo made an early exit from Wednesday's game after injuring his wrist on a swing. He's reportedly feeling better ahead of Thursday's contest, but he will step out of the lineup for a day as a precaution.
