The Los Angeles Lakers have signed free agent Ronnie Price, the team announced on Wednesday. It's for one year at the veteran minimum, and it is not guaranteed, per USA Today's Sam Amick.
Price, 31, provides insurance at the point guard position, but if he makes the team he'll be behind Steve Nash and Jeremy Lin on the depth chart. It's unclear at this point whether the Lakers see rookie Jordan Clarkson as a point guard or shooting guard or both.
Los Angeles will be Price's sixth team in 10 years, and it'll be the fourth straight season he's in a new situation. This will see him reunite with former Utah Jazz teammate Carlos Boozer, and one can only hope he'll remind the power forward about this moment:
Price averaged 2.4 points and 2.1 assists in 12.2 minutes per game for the Orlando Magic in 2013-2014.
