Jazz's Jordan Clarkson: Absence streak continues Sunday
Clarkson (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Clarkson will miss his fourth consecutive matchup due to left foot plantar fasciitis. The veteran guard doesn't have a clear timetable for a return, though his next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Thunder. With Clarkson sidelined, Johnny Juzang and Isaiah Collier will likely see an uptick in playing time off the bench.

Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Out again Sunday
Filipowski (lower leg) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Filipowski will miss a fifth straight game due to a left leg injury, including both halves of Utah's current back-to-back set. His next chance to suit up will come Tuesday in Oklahoma City.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Scores 19 points Saturday
Markkanen notched 19 points (7-20 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 34 minutes during Saturday's 106-94 loss to the Mavericks.
Markkanen had a rough shooting performance that included going 2-for-11 from beyond the arc, and there's no question the Jazz need more out of him, particularly when it comes to being an efficient scorer. Shooting woes aside, Markkanen remains a valuable fantasy commodity across all formats, and managers who have him rostered have to go through off games here and there, as Markkanen often posts solid stat lines that are more based on efficiency rather than volume. His body of work this season suggests this was nothing more than a subpar performance rather than a sign of things to come in the future.

Jazz's John Collins: Sniffs double-double in loss
Collins finished with 16 points (6-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 37 minutes during Saturday's 106-94 loss to the Mavericks.
Collins struggled a bit with his shot, particularly from three-point range. Still, fantasy managers won't worry too much about his efficiency as long as he continues to put up solid numbers across the major categories. Collins finished just one rebound away from recording what would've been his fourth consecutive double-double. Furthermore, Collins is averaging 19.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per contest since becoming a starter nine games ago.

Jazz's Walker Kessler: Fills stat sheet Saturday
Kessler posted 18 points (7-9 FG, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, five blocks and three steals over 30 minutes during Saturday's 106-94 loss to Dallas.
The Jazz came up short against the Mavericks, but Kessler delivered one of his best fantasy performances of the campaign. This was his third double-double in four games since returning from a six-game absence due to a hip injury. Furthermore, Kessler now has seven double-doubles in 13 games while recording multiple blocks in all but two of those 13 appearances.

Jazz's Micah Potter: Returning to bench Saturday
Potter is not in the Jazz's starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Mavericks.
Potter started in his 2024-25 regular-season debut Wednesday against the Nuggets due to injuries to John Collins (knee), Lauri Markkanen (personal) and Kyle Filipowski (lower leg), and Potter finished with nine points, 16 rebounds, three assists and one block over 32 minutes. While Markkanen and Collins are available for Saturday's game, Potter could see some playing time off the bench due to Filipowski still being sidelined.

Jazz's Svi Mykhailiuk: Back to bench Saturday
Mykhailiuk is not starting Saturday against the Mavericks.
Mykhailiuk will return to the bench with Lauri Markkanen (personal) back in the starting unit after a one-game absence. Mykhailiuk had seven points, an assist and a steal across 21 minutes in a spot start against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Jazz's Drew Eubanks: Cleared to play Saturday
Eubanks (knee) isn't included on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Mavericks.
Eubanks played just one minute and 30 seconds in Wednesday's 122-103 loss to the Nuggets before leaving early with a bruised left knee, but two days off between games apparently provided sufficient recovery time for him. The Jazz will get Lauri Markkanen (personal) and John Collins (knee) back from one-game absences Saturday but will remain without Kyle Filipowski (lower leg), so Eubanks should be able to stick in the rotation as the primary backup to starting center Walker Kessler.

Jazz's Jordan Clarkson: Missing third straight game
Clarkson (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Clarkson will be sidelined for a third straight game due to a foot injury, and while his next opportunity to play will be Sunday against the Lakers, the veteran guard doesn't have a timetable for his return. Johnny Juzang, Brice Sensabaugh and Isaiah Collier will continue to see increased playing time off the bench due to Clarkson's injury.

Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Won't play vs. Dallas
Filipowski (leg) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Filipowski will miss a fourth straight game due to a left leg injury, and his next chance to play will be against the Lakers on Sunday. The Jazz will be getting reinforcements in Lauri Markkanen (personal) and John Collins (knee) for Saturday's contest.

Jazz's John Collins: Available vs. Mavs on Saturday
Collins (knee) will play against the Mavericks on Saturday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Collins was sidelined for Wednesday's 122-103 loss to the Nuggets due to a knee injury, but the veteran forward will return for Saturday's game. Collins started in the Jazz's previous eight games prior to Wednesday, and over that span he averaged 20.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals over 32.5 minutes per game.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Will play Saturday
Markkanen (personal) is available to play Saturday against the Mavericks, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Markkanen was sidelined for the Jazz's last two games, the second of which was for personal reasons, but he will be on the floor for Saturday's game. Over his last 10 outings, Markkanen has averaged 20.1 points on 50.0 percent shooting, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists over 32.9 minutes per game.

Jazz's Walker Kessler: Records double-double in defeat
Kessler ended with 16 points (8-10 FG, 0-2 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and one steal in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 122-103 loss to the Nuggets.
Kessler's result was impressive considering the opponent. Contending with Nikola Jokic for boards is no easy feat, but Kessler actually recorded more rebounds than the three-time MVP in the loss. Since his return to action after a six-game absence, Kessler has recorded two double-doubles over three games.

Jazz's Collin Sexton: Leads team with 26 points in loss
Sexton chipped in 26 points (9-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), one rebound and four assists in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 122-103 loss to the Nuggets.
Sexton posted a solid line despite the blowout, as the shorthanded roster depended on solid backcourt performances due to the numerous injuries up front. Although the Jazz's record doesn't reflect the backcourt tandem's success, Sexton and Keyonte George are working well together with complementary skill sets.

Jazz's Micah Potter: Grabs 16 rebounds as fill-in
Potter finished with nine points (3-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), 16 rebounds, three assists and one block across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 122-103 loss to the Nuggets.
The two-way prospect made it out of the G League due to Utah's numerous frontcourt absences, and he was a direct fill-in for John Collins (knee) in the loss. Potter generated a nice rebound total despite Nikola Jokic's imposing presence, and the former will probably stick with the NBA club for a few games while Utah tries to get healthy.
