Smith (quadriceps) was spotted working out during Chicago's minicamp Wednesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
The 24-year-old cornerback left the Bears' 2023 season finale with a quadriceps injury, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue. Smith had an up-and-down rookie campaign, recording 49 total tackles, including three tackles for loss, while also defending six passes in 12 games. He's expected to compete for another depth role in Chicago's secondary as the offseason progresses.

Smith played 12 games, resulting in 49 tackles and a forced fumble, during his first season with the Bears. He exited the team's last game of the season with a quad injury.
After barely playing in the first two weeks of the season, Smith took on a full-time role at cornerback in Weeks 3 through 5, but he then became ill with mononucleosis and missed four games. Upon his return, his playing time was inconsistent. Signed through 2026, Smith will try to earn a starting role in his second season with Chicago.
