  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Officially appealing suspension

Hartman will appeal his 10-game suspension to commissioner Gary Bettman, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

This is the first step of the appeal process. If Bettman upholds a suspension length of six or more games, Hartman can then make a second appeal to an independent arbitrator. Pending any changes resulting from his appeal, Hartman is expected to be out of the Wild's lineup until March 9 versus the Penguins.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Suspended 10 games

Hartman received a 10-game suspension by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for roughing Ottawa's Tim Stutzle on Saturday.

Hartman is a repeat offender -- this is his fifth career suspension and fourth since April of 2023. The 30-year-old won't be eligible to return until March. 9 against Pittsburgh. Per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, Hartman has 48 hours to decide if he wants to make an appeal. While Hartman is unavailable, Ben Jones could draw back into the lineup, but Minnesota will probably bring up a forward from AHL Iowa for extra depth.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Offered in-person hearing

The NHL Department of Player Safety offered Hartman an in-person hearing Sunday for roughing Ottawa's Tim Stutzle on Saturday.

Hartman received a match penalty at the end of the second period for driving Stutzle's head into the ice. The 30-year-old Hartman could be facing a suspension of more than five games. He has seven goals, 17 points, 108 shots on net, 30 blocked shots, 53 hits and 60 PIM through 48 appearances this season. Ben Jones could replace Hartman in Tuesday's lineup versus Boston.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Likely facing discipline

Hartman received a match penalty in Saturday's 6-0 loss to the Senators.

Hartman's match penalty was for intent to injure after he checked Tim Stutzle's head into the ice at the end of the second period. All match penalties come with an automatic league review for discipline, and Hartman won't get the benefit of the doubt -- he's been suspended four times before, the most recent being April 1, 2024, so he would be classified as a repeat offender if additional discipline is assessed. Ben Jones will likely enter the lineup if Hartman is made unavailable.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Plucks apple in loss

Hartman logged an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Flames.

Hartman has put together a decent January with three goals, five assists and 18 shots on net over 11 contests. The 30-year-old had not earned more than five points in any other month of the season. He's at 16 points, 99 shots on net, 49 hits, 39 PIM, 28 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 44 outings overall. Hartman continues to play on the third line and second power-play unit.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Tallies again Wednesday

Hartman scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.

Hartman has scored in back-to-back contests and has three goals and four assists over his last eight outings. The 30-year-old forward scored straight from a faceoff in the second period of this game. He's up to seven goals, 14 points, 94 shots on net, 46 hits, 27 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 40 appearances this season. Hartman will continue to carry some fantasy value in deeper formats while in a top-six role, but that could change once the Wild's forward group is closer to full health.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Nets lone goal in loss

Hartman scored a goal on four shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.

Hartman tallied at 12:09 of the first period, but that goal was all the Wild could put past Adin Hill. The 30-year-old Hartman has earned two goals and four assists over his last seven contests. He's playing on the second line, and now that he has a little momentum, he could work his way back into consideration for fantasy. The winger is at six goals, seven assists, 91 shots on net, 45 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 39 appearances, though he's had some time in the bottom six this season as well.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Adds two assists in win

Hartman notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Blues.

Hartman is rounding into form with five points over his last four outings following a brutal 18-game slump. The 30-year-old has benefited from top-six minutes in that span, though it's unclear if Hartman will continue in that role once Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) returns. Hartman has five goals, seven assists, 84 shots on net, 43 hits, 30 PIM, 22 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 36 appearances. If he can sustain his offense, he offers well-rounded production for fantasy managers.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Points in back-to-back games

Hartman registered an even-strength goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over Washington.

Hartman was a key component in Minnesota picking up a road win Thursday, as he redirected a Zach Bogosian shot into the back of the net in the first period before setting up Marco Rossi's game-tying goal in the final frame. Hartman has gotten on the scoresheet in back-to-back games after failing to collect a point in his previous 18 outings. The right-shot winger is currently filling a second-line role in addition to a spot on the No. 2 power-play unit, but he's contributed a meager five goals and 10 points through 34 games in 2024-25.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Gets on scoresheet in win

Hartman recorded a power-play assist in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Predators.

Hartman set up Declan Chisholm for a second-period power-play goal, which proved to be the winner. It was a big moment for Hartman, who put an 18-game point drought to rest. The 30-year-old racked up 46 shots on net, 24 hits and 24 PIM in that span -- the agitation is nice, but it doesn't cover that much of a lack of offense in fantasy. This season, Hartman has just eight points, 81 shots on net, 42 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 33 appearances, so he'll need to show improvement over a longer stretch to be trusted by fantasy managers again.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Lacking offense

Hartman's point drought reached 16 games in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blackhawks.

He had three shots Monday and has come up empty on 38 shots during the drought. Hartman has added 20 hits, 10 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-6 rating in that span. The 30-year-old has moved around the lineup a few times, which is nothing new, but while the rest of his teammates are enjoying strong season, he's been left in the dust on offense. Hartman has just seven points, 72 shots on net, 38 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 30 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Dishes two assists in win

Hartman logged two assists, three shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Oilers.

Hartman has three points over his last two games. The 30-year-old was up on the second line again Thursday, though one of his assists came on a goal by former linemate Frederick Gaudreau late in the second period. Hartman is up to four goals, three helpers, 34 shots on net, 18 hits, six PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 14 appearances. His mix of offense and physical play makes him an interesting option in fantasy if he can keep his scoring trending in the right direction.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Opens scoring in win

Hartman scored a goal, added two hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Blues.

Hartman snapped a five-game point drought with the opening tally at 12:24 of the first period. The 30-year-old has a meaningful chance to establish himself in the top six while Mats Zuccarello (lower body) is out for a few weeks. Hartman is at four goals, one assist, 31 shots on net, 17 hits and a minus-1 rating over 13 appearances, but he's had some success in larger roles over the past three campaigns.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Season-high TOI

Hartman had four shots and two hits over a season-high 18:51 time on ice in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Canadiens.

Hartman and several other skaters saw their TOI spike, as top-six forwards and power-play staples Joel Eriksson Ek and Mats Zuccarello left the game with lower-body injuries after four shifts. Their absence on special teams also led a season-high 3:52 PPTOI for Hartman. Pending the status of the injured forwards, Hartman could see an uptick in ice time and perhaps a role in the top six Saturday against the Stars. He has three goals, one assist, 28 shots, 13 hits, two blocks, four PIM and is minus-3 through 11 outings.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Scores in overtime win

Hartman scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and logged three hits in Sunday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs.

This was Hartman's second game back from an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old forward returned Friday on the fourth line, but he's already up to the third line over the struggling Yakov Trenin. Hartman has three goals, 16 shots on net, nine hits and a minus-3 rating across six appearances this season. He offers upside for PIM and shots even if he stays in the bottom six, but he's also a candidate to move into the top six if the Wild's hot start fades at some point.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Suiting up against Bolts

Hartman (upper body) will be in the lineup versus Tampa Bay on Friday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Hartman returns following a five-game stint on the sidelines due to his upper-body issue. Prior to getting hurt, the 30-year-old forward generated two goals on 12 shots in his four outings. For now, Hartman figures to slot into a fourth-line role but could move up the depth chart if others struggle.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Could play Friday

Hartman (upper body) was a full participant in practice Thursday and could return to action Friday versus Tampa Bay, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Head coach John Hynes said that Hartman could be available, but Hynes doesn't yet have a plan as to where Hartman would play in the lineup. The 30-year-old Hartman has two goals in four games this season, and he has missed the last five contests.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Slated to miss two more games

Hartman (upper body) has returned to Minnesota, signaling that he'll miss the final two games of the Wild's road trip, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports Friday.

Hartman has already missed the last three games due to an upper-body injury, and he'll remain sidelined for Saturday's contest against Philadelphia and Tuesday's matchup against Pittsburgh. It's not yet clear when the Wild expect him to return to action, but it seems as though the earliest he'll be in the mix to do so will be Nov. 1 against Tampa Bay.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Set to miss out Thursday

Hartman (upper body) is expected to remain on the shelf versus the Lightning on Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Hartman will be out of action for a third consecutive game due to his lingering upper-body injury. Still, the fact that the 30-year-old winger is traveling with the team should bode well for a short-term absence. For now, Marco Rossi and Joel Eriksson Ek figure to fill the top-six center roles for the Wild.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Out Tuesday

Hartman (upper body) will miss Tuesday's game against Florida, per Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

It will be the Wild's second straight game without Hartman. He has two goals in four appearances this year. The 30-year-old is expected to serve in a top-six capacity once he's healthy.
