Predators' Justin Barron: Generates assist in win
Barron provided an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Barron has picked up three points over his last five outings. The 23-year-old defenseman had struggled before this recent stretch, but it's possible he's getting comfortable with his new team after he was traded from Montreal in December. He has four points, 35 shots on net, 33 hits, 38 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 29 appearances between the Predators and the Canadiens this season.

Predators' Colton Sissons: Bags apple in win
Sissons provided an assist in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Sissons has gotten on the scoresheet in seven of his last 10 games, earning three goals and five assists in that span. He set up the second of Filip Forsberg's two tallies in this contest. Overall, Sissons is at 12 points, 46 shots on net, 61 hits, 48 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating through 46 outings, but his recent play is much more in line with what he's capable of -- he can help as a depth forward in fantasy as long as he remains semi-consistent on offense.

Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Point streak reaches 10 games
Marchessault logged a power-play assist and four shots on goal in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Marchessault has two goals and 11 helpers during a 10-game point streak. Just one of those outings was a multi-point effort, but any consistency is welcome from Nashville after the team's awful first half of the campaign. The 34-year-old winger is up to 15 goals, 24 helpers, 16 power-play points, 144 shots on net, 59 hits, 31 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 47 appearances.

Predators' Roman Josi: Extends point streak to seven games
Josi notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Josi has two goals and eight helpers during his seven-game point streak, and he's earned a power-play point in six of those contests. He helped out on a Steven Stamkos tally in the second period of Thursday's victory. Josi's surge has him up to 35 points (16 on the power play), 127 shots on net, 76 blocked shots, 37 hits and a minus-19 rating through 43 appearances. After a somewhat middling first half of the campaign, it's encouraging to see Josi consistently contribute on offense.

Predators' Zachary L'Heureux: Registers pair of assists
L'Heureux notched two assists, four shots on goal, two hits and five PIM in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
The Predators quickly took a 3-0 lead in the first period, and the Sharks didn't like that. L'Heureux participated in one of three fights right after the third goal. The winger has three helpers over his last two contests, and his second assist Thursday was his first career power-play point. The 21-year-old is up to 12 points, 49 shots on net, 42 PIM, 121 hits and a minus-6 rating over 39 appearances in a middle-six role.

Predators' Brady Skjei: Distributes three assists
Skjei recorded three assists, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Two of Skjei's helpers came on the power play. He had been limited to one goal over his previous eight contests. The defenseman's scoring contributions have been limited this season, but he remains firmly in a top-four role and on the second power-play unit. Skjei is at four goals, 13 assists, 95 shots on net, 51 blocked shots, 38 hits and a minus-5 rating over 47 appearances.

Predators' Gustav Nyquist: Puts puck past goalie
Nyquist scored a power-play goal and went minus-2 in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Nyquist broke a couple of lengthy slumps Thursday. He had gone 36 games without scoring on a goalie -- his last four goals were all empty-netters. This was also his first power-play point of the campaign after he had 24 of them last season. He struck at 3:58 of this contest with a tally past Yaroslav Askarov. Nyquist is up to eight goals, 19 points, 58 shots on net and a minus-18 rating through 46 appearances, so he'll still be tough to trust in fantasy. He has just two points during a five-game span in which the Predators have scored 27 times.

Predators' Steven Stamkos: Pots power-play tally
Stamkos scored a power-play goal on four shots and added four PIM in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Stamkos has earned five goals and two assists during his five-game point streak. The Predators have scored 27 goals in that span, which has helped the whole team shake an early-season malaise on offense. The 34-year-old forward is up to 17 goals, 32 points (14 on the power play), 101 shots on net, 30 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 47 appearances.

Predators' Fedor Svechkov: Seals chaotic win
Svechkov scored a power-play goal on three shots and added an assist in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
In Tuesday's similarly chaotic game back in Nashville, Svechkov's tally sparked the Predators' comeback from a four-goal deficit. Thursday saw the Sharks attempt to mimic their opponent, but Svechkov's third-period tally was enough for Nashville to get the win, giving the 21-year-old his first NHL game-winner. He's up to six goals, two assists, 28 shots on net, 14 hits and a minus-3 rating over 18 appearances. Three of his eight points have come on the power play, and he may have appeal in deeper fantasy formats as long as he continues to see time with the man advantage.

Predators' Thomas Novak: Contributes pair of points in win
Novak scored a goal on three shots and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Novak was involved in Nashville's first two goals, which came 56 seconds apart in the first period. The 27-year-old didn't get in on the fun again in a second straight high-scoring battle between these two teams, but he has earned six points over his last three outings following his prior seven-game slump. The forward has seven goals, 15 points (four on the power play), 66 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating over 38 appearances.

Predators' Filip Forsberg: Point streak up to nine games
Forsberg scored twice on six shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Forsberg's pair of goals came at even strength. He is absolutely sizzling right now with nine goals and eight assists during a nine-game point streak spanning all of January so far. The winger is up to 18 tallies, 47 points, 167 shots on net, 91 hits and a minus-7 rating through 47 appearances. Considering he endured an 18-game goal drought just before this hot stretch, it's safe to say Forsberg's performance is simply evening out.

Predators' Justus Annunen: Bends but doesn't break
Annunen stopped 30 of 35 shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.
Annunen didn't have the benefit of joining in progress for this game as he did in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks. Despite the ugly stat line, Annunen came away with his fourth straight win, though he blew a three-goal lead during the second period. The 24-year-old netminder is now 12-6-0 with a 2.95 GAA and an .894 save percentage over 20 appearances between the Predators and the Avalanche this season. Juuse Saros will likely be back between the pipes Saturday in Anaheim.

Predators' Justus Annunen: Facing Sharks
Annunen will start on the road versus the Sharks on Thursday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
Juuse Saros struggled Tuesday against the Sharks at home, and head coach Andrew Brunette will spare him having to face them again in such short order. Instead, Annunen will get the nod after picking up a win in relief in Tuesday's game. Annunen has allowed five goals on 70 shots while winning all three of his outings in January, and this is a favorable matchup for him to keep the good times rolling.

Predators' Zachary L'Heureux: Nabs helper in win
L'Heureux notched an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.
L'Heureux ended an eight-game point drought, which also saw him serve a three-game suspension for slew-footing in the middle of the slump. The 21-year-old has returned to a bottom-six role after often featuring on the second line prior to his suspension. The forward has produced 10 points, 45 shots on goal, 37 PIM and 119 hits over 38 appearances, bringing physicality to the Predators' lineup, though he has to avoid crossing the line after a lengthy suspension history in the junior and AHL ranks.

Predators' Adam Wilsby: Pockets assist Tuesday
Wilsby notched an assist, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.
Wilsby has played on the third pairing over the last two games since he returned from missing seven contests due to an upper-body injury. The 24-year-old had established himself in the lineup prior to the injury and shouldn't have too much trouble keeping his place as long as he's healthy. He's at four points, 23 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, 13 hits and a plus-7 rating across 17 appearances.

Predators' Justin Barron: Pots goal Tuesday
Barron scored a goal on five shots, added two hits and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.
Barron brought the Predators within two goals in the second period, but his defensive mistakes were responsible for a couple of the Sharks' tallies. The 23-year-old Barron has scored twice over his last four contests and continues to see steady ice time, but he hasn't played very well in his own zone. Between Nashville and Montreal this season, the blueliner has three goals, 33 shots on net, 31 hits, 37 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 28 games.

Predators' Nick Blankenburg: Nets game-winner Tuesday
Blankenburg scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.
Blankenburg's third-period tally was the game-winner, which gave the Predators a lead in a game they once trailed 5-1. The defenseman has played fairly well with six points and a plus-8 rating over his last 13 appearances. For the season, that's all of his offense through 24 outings, and he's added 39 shots on net, 27 hits, 24 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating.

Predators' Fedor Svechkov: Launches comeback effort
Svechkov scored a power-play goal on four shots in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.
When Svechkov scored, it cut the Sharks' lead to 5-2, but it was the first of six straight goals for the Predators in a franchise-best comeback win. The 21-year-old has scored in each of the last two games, and he could benefit if Nashville keeps putting up big numbers -- they've scored 13 times over those contests. For the season, Svechkov has five goals, one assist, 25 shots on net, 13 hits and a minus-2 rating over 17 appearances.
